Stomach ulcers are an open wound that develops on the inner lining of the stomach and in the upper part of the small intestine. The symptom that is most common with stomach ulcers is abdominal pain. Stomach ulcers occur when the lining that protects the gastric mucosa from stomach acid is damaged.
Common ulcer symptoms include:
°Discomfort between meals or during the night (duodenal ulcer)
°Discomfort when you eat or drink (gastric ulcer) Stomach pain that wakes you up at night.This can cause the following symptoms:
•Nausea.
•Vomiting blood.
•Unexpected weight loss.
•Blood in your stool.
•Pain in your back.
There are three types of peptic ulcers;
•Gastric ulcers, or ulcers that develop in the stomach lining.
Upper abdominal pain is a common symptom. heartburn,indigestion,nausea,passing,excessive,amounts of gas, vomiting.
•Esophageal ulcers, or ulcers that develop in the esophagus.
Esophageal ulcer symptoms can include: Pain when you swallow or trouble swallowing. Pain behind your breastbone (heartburn) Feeling of food sticking in your throat or not going down right.
•Duodenal ulcers, or ulcers that develop in the duodenum (small intestine)
Symptoms of a duodenal ulcer If you have a duodenal ulcer, you might: have pain in the stomach or abdomen (this might come and go and is relieved by eating or taking an antacid) have indigestion. feel very full and bloated after eating.
Foods to be eaten by ulcer patients;
•Cauliflower
•Cabbage
•Radishes
•Apples
•Blueberries
•Raspberries
•Blackberries
•Cherries
•Bell pepper
•Carrot
•Broccoli
•Leafy greens,such as kale and spinach
•Probiotic-rich foods; yogurt,kefir,miso, sauerkraut, kombucha and kimchi
•Olive oil and other plant-based oils
•Honey
•Garlic
•Decaffeinated green tea
•Licorice
•Tumeric
Foods to be avoid by ulcer patients;
•Coffee
•Chocolate
•Spicy food
•Alcohol
•Acidic foods;citrus and tomatoes

Food That Can Kill You

Mushrooms .
Mushrooms are fungi, at the thought of fungi, I'm sure you know that doesn't sound really nice. There are mushrooms that are edible and some are deadly, but do you know what, both the deadly and edible ones look the same. So be sure of the kind of mushroom you are eating.
Cherry Stones .
Cherry stones are great when taken in little quantities, but deadly when taking in excess. They contain Hydrogen Cyanide which is so poisonous that a mere 0.1 gram of cherry stones can kill a 150 pounds man. So if eating cherry stones, take only one.
Cashew nuts .
Firstly these are seeds not nuts, so that means you've been misled all the time. Their shells are deadly and have a coating of anacardic acids which can burn your skin if handled incorrectly or give you a stomach upset. In their raw state they contain Urushiol, a chemical found in poison ivy and can be lethal if consumed too much. Next time you want to eat cashew, think twice.
Ackee .
Found in West Africa, it is a delicious local favourite food. However if picked before fully ripening, it contains hypoglycin A which causes vomiting and hypoglycemia which causes death. It's seeds are so dangerous that it was banned in US.
