Six Persons Test Positive For COVID-19 In A Boarding School: Lagos Commissioner

Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi has revealed that five members of staff and a student have tested positive for COVID-19 in a secondary school in Lagos State.
He made this known in a statement titled, ‘Lagos confirms COVID-19 infection in secondary school’ and signed by the Commissioner for Health on Friday.
He said the first COVID-19 case in the school located in the mainland part of the state was detected on Tuesday.
The commissioner assured members of the public and stakeholders of the school that “the situation is completely under control.â€
He added that the Lagos State COVID-19 Incident Command System has begun an investigation into the incident.

170 New COVID-19 Cases, 181 Discharged And 3 Deaths On October 30

On the 30th of October 2020, 170 new confirmed cases and 3 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.
Till date, 62691 cases have been confirmed, 58430 cases have been discharged and 1144 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The 170 new cases are reported from 11 states- Lagos (106), FCT (25), Oyo (14), Edo (7), Kaduna (7), Ogun (4), Bauchi (2), Benue (2), Kano (1), Osun (1), Rivers (1).
A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate.
