5 Wrestling Finishers That Were Discovered By Accident
~2.8 mins read
These are some finishing moves that were invented by mistake. Read on to enjoy.
5. Claymore Kick (Drew McIntyre)
During a match on the March 25 2013 Raw, Drew sprinted at Ryback and aimed a standard big boot at his head.
He revealed this on an episode of Table For 3 were he was with ex-stablemates Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal, McIntyre revealed that he wouldn't have performed the move that way, had his rockstar gear not made it impossible to do anything else.
He was aiming for a Big boot and because of his trousers he couldn't do it and went for a claymore instead.
4. Diving Head Butt (Harley Race)
Daniel Bryan have always come crashing down head first onto rivals. It looks like it hurts, probably because it does. Lars Sullivan is also known for using the move before he went on his long-term injury.
He was attempting a splash but it botched and turned into an headbutt and so it was born.
3. Powerbomb (Lou Thesz)
Kevin Owens has been using this move as the innovated Pop-up Power bomb before he used the stunner. Batista used it as a finisher when he called it the Batista bomb.
Vader, Sycho Sid, Diesel, The Undertaker, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and countless Indy workers over the years have used the Powerbomb as part of their repertoire. Often, the move is modified to include spinning, less rotation and pinning combinations at the end of it. None of that crossed the great Lou Thesz' mind when he wrestled Antonino Rocca.
Thesz was just trying to keep a hold of the Italian's body and stop him from falling on his back as he struggled to produce a picture-perfect Piledriver. It was that simple.
Instead he made a mistake and turned it into a powebomb. We thank God that his opponent wasn't injured.
2. DDT (Jake Roberts)
The Rock uses this move and the undertaker uses it too but the most famous person that has used it in recent times as a finishing move in WWE is Dean Ambrose. But how did the move come about?
Jake 'The Snake' Roberts' popularised the hold and turned it from a transitional one into a deadly finisher. He was aiming for a transition move as seen in the picture above but instead he turned it into the DDT.
1. The People's Elbow (The Rock)
The Rock's ridiculous People's Elbow was created only to try and make The Undertaker break character and giggle in front of a live crowd so used to seeing him act seriously. Even though Rocky's attempt to corpse the corpse didn't work, it inadvertently launched one of the Attitude Era's most memorable spots. The move was invented to just amuse The Undertaker.
What other finishing moves do you know that were created by accident? Let us know down in the comments section below!

All The Ballon D'Or Winners From 2000 Till Date
~4.1 mins read
France Football is a French weekly magazine founded in 1946, containing football news from all over the world. They are the benefactors and founders of the annual football award, the Ballon d'Or.
The Ballon d'Or is an annual football award presented by French news magazine France Football that is one of the oldest and generally regarded as the most prestigious individual award for football players. It has been awarded since 1956, although between 2010 and 2015, an agreement was made with FIFA, and the award was temporarily merged with the FIFA World Player of the Year (founded in 1991) and known as the FIFA Ballon d'Or. However, the partnership ended in 2016, and the award reverted to the Ballon d'Or, while FIFA also reverted to its own separate annual award The Best FIFA Men's Player. The recipients of the joint FIFA Ballon d'Or are considered as winners by both award organisations. Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo dominated the seeds from 2008 till 2017, almost a decade long reign, until Luka Modric won the 2018 Edition.
