Onions are a rich source of flavonoids and thiosulfinates. What do these do exactly? Well, the flavonoids in onion help in reducing bad cholesterol in your body and thiosulfinates are known to keep the consistency of the blood right, much like a blood thinner.  Pumpkin is very rich in the key nutrient required for blood production that malt and milk lack, I'm talking about iron.
 
Pumpkin leaf contains, calcium, potassium, iron and other minor nutrients, the important nutrient right now is IRON. Iron is abundant in pumpkin leaf and when consumed will help in production and replenishment of blood, so if you need a top up you should turn to "ugwu" for help.
 
Other foods that are rich in iron include; fish, broccoli, red meat, legumes and so on.
