What’s the best way to attract a following for a self-published book?
 
 
 
 

There are several ways to do this and they all involve building a relationship with people who have the potential to become your new audience and future fans of your work.

Here’s some quick ways you can do this broken down by your preferred medium for communication (always rely on your strengths and if you enjoy all of these then you can try them all):
  • Written word - try launching a blog and post stories and series on Medium. It’s a great place to communicate with people who already pay to read. You can also become a Medium partner and potentially earn money through your writing there. I would also suggest you learn to capture emails via a squeeze page on your own personal website and link to this on Medium where it makes sense. You can also create a Quora space like this one in a niche or topic that interests you.
  • Spoken word (audio only) - start a podcast. You could download Anchor app or use their website and your microphone on your laptop, PC, smartphone or headset to launch your own podcast. Here on your podcast you can speak about your work, your interests as a person and author, other aspects of your life as a person and author, etc. It’s a great way for people to get to know you.
  • Spoken word (audio and video) - start a YouTube channel, an Instagram account, a Facebook page and/or a TikTok account. These are great platforms for building awareness around who you are, what you are writing, what you’re currently working on and will be in the future. Again incorporate a software that will allow you to collect and build an email list as well.
    • These are all places to start. You can check out my own Medium page (there will be a link in my Quora profile, if it’s not there yet just follow me on here - I just set up this blog to write about things like Self Publishing, writing, philosophy, marketing etc.). Do some research on these subjects and figure out which is best for you!

        Furthermore , technology has brought about easy access to many things which has been unable to be accessed either directly or another way round, so a great impact have been made by technology in our modern world.
           Finally, with the impact technology has made in our lives there are still negative effects of it in our lives which may include the following: Abuse of easy access to different things, Moral decadents of some youths, Health disasters, Exposure of children somethings at a very tender age and many more.
     
    Though technology have been of great source of achievement which has made life easy for us as humans.
