Prologue
The dark night pack, Alpha private quarters.
"Mama , mama." Marisa shouted out loud, ponytail swinging in the air as she ran to the kitchen where her was mother cooking dinner.
"Yes love ,what is it?." Her mother the Luna Sofia questioned impatiently eyes on the pot on the stove concentrating on the food she was preparing.

She looked at her husband Alpha Conner, secretly hoping he will intercede on her behalf and get her out of this mess but as usual he just pretended to like he wasn't there in the same room with them trying to make himself look invisible. His eyes were glued to the documents he was busy signing about pack treaties and new fond wolves who wanted to join their pack.
She dropped all the cooking appliances she was holding in her hands on the kitchen table. She looks at little Marisa who waited not so patiently for her mother's attention.
"Honey " she said lovingly to the seven years old daughter . she bent to the level of her daughter, her hands placed on her shoulder "you will get your mate at the right time when you grow. It doesn't matter what colour his wolf is or size. All that matters is his love for you and yours for him that what important." Luna Sofia said to her. She doubted her little girl understood what she just said. She was too little to understand what love was. Love wasn't about how the person looks on the outside but what the person has on the inside.
She continued." Little Marisa, we don't choose our mate ourselves. The moon goddess chooses our mate for us. She chooses someone who will complement and complete us. “she finishes.
But the little girl was not having any of it. Being spoil from the start as the only daughter of alpha of the dark night pack ,she always got what she wanted, and now she wanted a black strong wolf as a mate even though she knew nothing about the meaning.

"Marisa stop being a spoilt brat now. Go upstairs wash your hand and get ready for diner. Your plate will be ready on the table when you are done."
Big fat tears began to form in little Marisa's eyes, rolling down to her cheek staining her favorite top. This got her more pissed off than she already was.
Instead of going up to her room like she was told, she sneaked out of the room through the back door of the kitchen without her parents knowing into running into the woods alone.
The Luna turned to the alpha not noticing what Marisa did, she looked at her mate who was failing hard to control his laughter. He loved his daughter but he adds to admit she was spoilt.
"I don't see what was funny. Your daughter is acting like a spoilt brat and it's all your fault. “she said folding her hands. She glared hard at her husband who looked unfazed.

"Marisa" a dark scary voice called her.
"Mama “she shouted back.
"Not mama, but better than mama" the voices laughed echoing around the bush.

Finally someone will give her what she wanted she thought happily already forgetting she was lost alone in an unknown Forest .
Earlier at the playing ground her friends who were about her five years younger than her were all talking about their wolf and their mate saying having a male black wolf is the best,they will always be there to protect them. The evil voices started singing in different languages cursing the moon goddess and the whole werewolf creation but the little girl had no idea what was been said or want was going on. Her nose was covered with water making it hard and difficult for her to breathe even as a werewolf. The water tastes like snail blood and some other things she didn't know. She cried silently out for help, hoping her father and mother were both on their way to rescue her.
Immediately she enter the water the evil creatures knew who her mate was and how strong he his. The bond between the mates was too strong even though there haven't meet before there could feel the connection through their incantations. Fear grip the evil demons but that didn't stop them from causing harm and distraction. There loved seeing fear in people eyes and tormenting the innocent. So they casted a spell on little Marisa hoping when she grow up she will reject her mate since there knew he his a white wolf the opposite of what she wished for. The cloud became dark ,Marisa felt something powerful lifted from her body. The mate bond.
They casted another spell in geek words that teleported little Marisa back to her room.

Luna Sofia looked at her husband who was already eating his food worriedly .
"Don't you think I should check up on her to see if she ok?." She asked.
