Say These Powerful Morning Prayers To Start Your Day
~2.4 mins read
Dear God,

In the morning, O Lord, I will direct my song and my prayer unto You and will look up. (Psalm 5:3)

Good morning Lord! This is the day that you have made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. With gratitude, I thank you for preserving my life for one more day. With gratitude, I thank you for your ultimate gift of love for me, in the form of your son and the sacrifice of his life on my behalf. Because of this overwhelming gift that I often cannot comprehend, I humbly submit to you. I know Lord, that I am a mere human and cannot instruct you, but you Lord can instruct me. So teach me your ways that I may rely on your faithfulness. Teach us to number our days and to use our time wisely.

I don’t know what this day holds, but I know that you hold the day. It was you that laid the foundations of the Earth and therefore understands every part of it. I know that you keep the sun in the sky, the stars in place, and have created this Earth for me to inhabit and enjoy.

Throughout this day, may I be keenly aware of your presence in everything I do – as I commute to work, drop children off at school, keep house and speak with my neighbors. May my life be a living example and may others see Christ in me. There are many that are hurting in this world – may I be a salve to someone today Lord, in a way that I can’t even imagine. May my words be seasoned with salt and minister grace to all that hear. May my actions be aligned with your Word.

I pray for wisdom that is peaceable, gentle, and approachable, with lots of mercy and fairness. You said an unlimited supply of wisdom is available to me if I simply ask, so I pray for wisdom to know how to deal with the many people and situations that will cross my path.

I pray for protection throughout this day; protect from harm and evil; go before me, to the left and right of me and behind me. Order my steps so that I walk worthy of your calling throughout this day. May I be attuned to your promptings – whether it shows up as a gentle tug or a strong conviction.

I pray for reconciliation in families, in nations and to you. I pray that all may come to know you and be reconciled back to You.

Lord, you know my faults and my flaws – forgive me for being unkind with my words and my thoughts; forgive me for being self-serving; forgive me for holding on to old wounds instead of giving them to you. Forgive me, Lord.

SERVICE-KEY TO THE TOP (3)

If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour(John 12:26).

Jesus enjoins us to follow His footsteps, His pattern and the prescribed ways of service, if we must be rewarded. However, it’s worthy to note that our service unto the is not for nothing.

“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister” (Hebrews 6:10). The rewards of service are:

-Blessing: Blessing is anything that gladdens your heart and makes you rich; “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it” (Proverbs 10:22).

-Divine health and divine healing: Service provides for divine immunity; “And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee” (Exodus 23:25).

-Fruitfulness: Service is the only source of fruitfulness; it’s the cheapest way to enjoy fruitfulness; “And ye shall serve the LORD your God… There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil” (Exodus 23:25 & 26).

-Supernatural Deliverance: God is faithful to delivering those who serve Him faithfully. Paul and Silas were delivered from the prison supernaturally due to their unwavering service to God (Acts 16:25-26). Daniel and Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, were supernaturally delivered from the den of lions and from the fiery furnace respectively because of their continual lifestyle of service (Daniel 6:11-22; Daniel 3:16-28).

-Other rewards of service are prosperity, dignity, distinction, longevity, etc. Psalms 35:27 says, “Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant”.

There are so many keys in the Kingdom- praise, thanksgiving, fasting, prayer, etc. but the master key is SERVICE. Service is called a labour of love, and at such, it should be love motivated to attract blessings and the rewards.

Further reading: Hebrews 6:10

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Prayer:

-Father, plant in me the love to serve you consistently and continuously.

-I subscribe to your Kingdom Insurance Scheme through my service, for immunity against death, sickness and disease, for prosperity, protection, preservation, honour and all round fruitfulness, in Jesus name. Amen.
