Tula Oyo was arrested at his residence in Oyo town on the 18th November, 2021 by a combine team of security personnel tagged Operation Burst. He was taking to Operation Burst office in Oyo town. The head of security personnel in Oyo provided logistics based on the order from above that Tula Oyo should be moved to Abuja for proper interrogation on his alleged involvement in sponsoring of Yoruba Nation agitators.

Before he was taking to Abuja, the security operative along with Tula Oyo went back to his house and told his family to provide his smart phone.

Tula Oyo was a former Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Oyo town chapter. No doubt, the nature of his job as a transporter will attract large number of area boys to his side. He recently lost one of his children to cold death.

Ever since he was taking to Abuja, family has not heard from him and there was no feedback on the progress of investigation exercise.

Family is concerned about his health as hypertensive patient that needs regular routine check and selective in food intake. His children have expressed concern ten days after they don’t know where about of their father.

Tula Oyo was also linked with the Abolongo jail break in Oyo where more than 200 inmates escaped from the correctional facility.

How long will the family of Tula Oyo wait to hear or see him?

Our campaigns have gone beyond expectations. But there’s this news trending in social media, that you, leader of Delta Ijaw 2023 Governorship Campaign group, made a confirmation to the effect that, the 2023 governorship position of the state is being slated for Delta Central Senatorial District. Can you expatiate on it, sir?

Straightaway, it is a lie from the pit of hell! You Know me, I’m an Ijaw man and I’m just like my title, “akan” (bitter kola) which speaks one voice, it doesn’t speak from both sides of the mouth, no, it doesn’t doublespeak at all. I am a regular, I stick with what I say.

So, if for any reason Ijaw nation who gave me the mandate to do what I’m doing changed their minds and tell me to stop, then I will call a meeting for the Ijaw people again and address the press formally as we did when this campaign started, to tell them that, see, Ijaw nation has changed her mind, we’ve decided to paddle the same canoe with the Urhobos. But that hasn’t happened!
