See What Governor Wike Told Port Harcourt End SARS Protester That Has Got People Talking
Once again, Governor Wike has show that he is a great leader that has the heart if Rivers state people at heart.
After banning any form of ENDSARS Protest on the eve of the protest, also threatened that who ever is found protesting should be arrested, He still came out to address the protesters when they got to government house to look for him, and these are his words to them.
We shouldn't make a mistake, If we #EndSars as they have done the same police people would be used to form another body.
That is what I have always supported and called for.
Governor Wike's Act today has caused several reactions on twitter, these are the reactions:
A twitter user identified as @Onwogu said: Learn to read the mood of the people. Nigerian Youths have woken up to take back their future. And no power can stop them now. So you can't ban them now.
Another user identified as PDP_2023 said: You didn’t want Protest because you were scared of violence and blood shed. PH people disobeyed you, came to Government House, knocked on the door and you received them and stood with them. Man like Wike!
@JosepgG said: Thank you for listening to the voice of wisdom,I personally beg you to shelve the idea of banning the protest this morning because of the good things you have done for your people. Once again Thank you Sir.
@Greenaetion said: You always have the support of the people, but you erred with your previous statement of banning protesters from protesting. Look at it now, you can't stop the large crowd, and many are still angry with you for that statement you made. This is democracy.
@Osagiegodwin9 said: His Excellency oil dey your head. If not because of the threat you dished out yesterday this protest wouldn't have been as peaceful as it went today. In the whole state Nigeria na River state don suffer pass for SARS killings and brutality. Thank you for applying discretion.
@Chisommbonu8 said: Wike used diplomacy, without his previous announcement PH protest would have been bloody, trust me he knows his people and what they are capable of. But all thanks it went very peaceful. To show how attached he's to the people, he came out to support the.

During & After Photos Of The Gas Explosion That Occurred At Best Roof Gas Station Baruwa Lagos State
~5.5 mins read
According to a report by Lagos state police command II, Instablog and Sahara Reporters, there has been another gas explosion in Lagos.
The Explosion has hit another gas station in Lagos.
According to National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) spokesman, Ibrahim Farinloye, the explosion occurred around 6.am at Best Roof Gas Station located at Unity Bus Stop, Fatade area of Baruwa in Alimoso Local Government Area of the State.
The fire is still raging in the area while officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), NEMA, Police officers and Fire Service are now on the ground to control the situation.
This is the second gas explosion that has happened in Lagos in less than three weeks. It is still unclear how many people have lost their lives but we can confirm that a number of individuals were injured and have been rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
The impact of the explosion resulted to widespread of fire has also destroyed properties too.
It’s sad that we keep writing about reoccurring preventable tragedies.
Nigeria can be so depressing, No matter what you do, someone or something just wants to kill you. There is a billion ways to die in this jungle.
Granting approval for gas plants within residential areas is absolutely wrong. @followlasg and the DPR should re-examine this.
I think we have to use every medium to help push narratives around the need for safety consciousness.
It's so unfortunate that we will forget about this by tomorrow, as usual, nobody will care about the cause, how to avoid it, and most importantly the number of lives and properties lost.
This unfortunate event and others in the recent past in which we have lost valuable lives underscores our need for true fiscal restructuring. We commiserate with all families affected.
