Kelvin Ugwu, a well known Nigerian Catholic Priest, Reverend Father who is on a mission to Malawi has taken to his official Facebook page to reveal that the stole, the ecclesiastical vestment worn by Roman Catholic deacons, priests, and bishops cannot be worn to any political meetings or function that is not liturgical in nature.
While sharing on his official Facebook page, Kelvin Ugwu made it known that the stole is worn only during the celebration of sacraments or blessing of sacraments, adding that the stole is not worn when attending political meetings.
Further speaking, Kelvin Ugwu stated that the stole is a strip of material that is embroidered with different designs or just a simple cross, and there are different colors, and it is well respected, adding that it is the most important vestment because it signifies authority.
