How To Sing (Singing Tips 1)
~1.8 mins read
Imagery is a powerful tool for singers. Singing is a mind game! How we think about the notes, or how we think about the lyrics and music often determines the success of a performance.
Often, a fresh mental image or a different way of thinking about any given technique, note, or exercise has the power to change it forever!
Don’t underestimate the power of imagery in singing!
--------------------------------------------
Make sure to warm up and utilize all registers and mixes of your voice. If you predominantly sing in belt and chest voice, be sure to also do some head voice and mix vocalizes to keep your voice balanced and at full capacity!
--------------------------------------------
We don't want to neglect the full spectrum of our voice! We need to keep our voices flexible and balanced in all its faucets.
--------------------------------------------
A full voice workout is the best way to expand your range, strengthen muscle coordinations, and master many different shapes and tones that can be applied across all genres of music.
*Riffs : Riffing is hard right? Well it’s actually easier than you think!
--------------------------------------------
Most riffs are just variations of the major pentatonic scale : 1-2-3-5-6. Mastering this scale pattern will most definitely help you improve your riffing capabilities. Start slow and then start speeding it up little by little. Try it on a comfortable vowel for you. --------------
When you’re vocalizing/practicing, place your hand on your larynx (the front of your neck where your Adam’s apple is). With your hand in place, monitor the larynx's movement.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Try to keep the larynx and the neck relaxed and at rest. Try to imagine your larynx and all the muscles in your neck staying at ease as you move up and down your vocal range. This will help you combat any laryngeal and neck tension that may be inhibiting your vocal freedom.
--------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------
Humming accesses and exercises the natural brightness of the voice, which nasopharynx resonance contributes. This resonance space is an important factor in balanced singing.
--------------------------------------------
Humming ALSO is a great way to exercise the soft palette by keeping it lifted.
--------------------------------------------
Try humming your vocal exercises and songs and observe how your voice starts to balance.

Show Love To EVERYONE, Not Only The WEALTHY ONES
~1.2 mins read
She asked him, 'How much are you selling the eggs for?'
The old seller replied, '$0.25 an egg, Madam.'
She said to him, 'I will take 6 eggs for $1.25 or I will leave.'
The old seller replied, 'Come take them at the price you want. Maybe, this is a good beginning because I have not been able to sell even a single egg today.'
She took the eggs and walked away feeling she has won. She got into her fancy car and went to a posh restaurant with her friend. There, she and her friend, ordered whatever they liked. They ate a little and left a lot of what they ordered. Then she went to pay the bill. The bill costed her $45.00 She gave $50.00 and asked the owner of the restaurant to keep the change.
This incident might have seemed quite normal to the owner but, very painful to the poor egg seller.
The point is, Why do we always show we have the power when we buy from the needy ones? And why do we get generous to those who do not even need our generosity?
I once read somewhere:
'My father used to buy simple goods from poor people at high prices, even though he did not need them. Sometimes he even used to pay extra for them. I got concerned by this act and asked him why does he do so? Then my father replied, "It is a charity wrapped with dignity, my childâ€
