~1.9 mins read
In our country nowadays, rice and other grains are always fluctuating, it goes up to a higher price especially when there is recession or hardship in the economy.
During the lockdown, that's is in the peak of the pandemic, a bag of rice was sold at ₦47,000 but now that Kano, Ebonyi and other rice producing states had begun a large scale manufacturing of grains the price has now subdued.
The grains produced by this states contains rice, millet and beans, and with the wide range and variety of farmers in Kano and other nations has subdued the price to ₦35,000 - ₦37,000 this price is around ₦10,000 lower than the initial fee.
On this way, millet that was formerly sold for ₦17,000 has drastically dropped to ₦14,000-₦15,000. Beans additionally is now delivered with the same rate, with the government providing Kano with ranchers and other tools necessary for large scale manufacturing and farming.
With the new fee of rice in Kano and other states, with the large manufacturing and production of rice, by next year hopefully rice will be cheaper than this current price.

President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the calls and threats from some quarters telling certain ethnic and religious groups to vacate some locations in the country.

The President, in a statement on Sunday by his spokesperson, Mallam Garba Shehucondemned all forms of hate messages and eviction notices to ethnic and religious groups in the country.
He emphasized that all citizens have a constitutional right to live and work in any part of Nigeria they so desire and this right will be defended by his administration.
The statement noted: â€œPresident Buhari also condemned hate messages and eviction notices to ethnic and religious groups asking Nigerians to take pride in the fact that our diverse people have been living with one another in harmony for ages.”
“The right of all citizens to live and work in any part of the country is a constitutional right and will be defended by the government.”
It will be recalled that in a video circulating on social media, Grandson Adeyinka, a UK-based Nigerian, called on Igbo indigenes to leave south-west states.

Adeyinka issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the Igbo, warning that those who refuse to leave will be dealt with.
He said in the video: â€œThis is a warning to the Igbo people in Yorubaland. We are giving you a 48-hour ultimatum from today, Friday 23rd October, 2020 until Sunday, 25th of October, 2020 to leave Yorubaland,” he said.
“From Monday 26th of October, we will close the roads, stop all the vehicles across Yorubaland and every Igbo national will be dealt with accordingly. What happened at Ore in Ondo state in August 1967 are just highlights of what we are going to do from Monday, 26th October, 2020.”
In August 2019, Grandson was arrested in London for allegedly “stirring racial discrimination” against the Igbo and Fulani ethnic groups and also “encouraging terrorism”.
