Governor Wike in a press release has banned protest of any kind in the state, including the #EndSARS protest.

According to the statement: “The Rivers State Government hereby wish to inform the general public that all forms of protests have been banned throughout the State.

“Therefore, all proposed protests under #End SARS Campaign are hereby prohibited.

“Government took this decision because the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, had already scrapped the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

He also urge Parents and Guardians to therefore advised to ensure that their children or wards do not violate this order.

But despite his threats, Port Harcourt residents are out for the protest, they want the government to listen to them, as they are tired of SARS and police brutality.

Port Harcourt people said they are ready for Wike as they won't stop until their voices are heard.

Protesters are already waiting at the meeting point which is pleasure park, so that the protest can start at exact 10 am.

Videos and pictures of people wait at pleasure park have already surfaced online, as protesters and police officials are already at the venue waiting.
