As an experienced house agent, I ll be sharing some tips that no one has ever told you about renting an apartment in Africa.

The things you should look out for before paying for a apartment are:

1. Is the location good for you

2. After paying for the apartment would have spare money left?

3. Don't forget that they might be some hidden charges like agency fees and outstanding utility bills

4. Is the house in tolerable condition? Take note of pollution around the apartment, like noise, garbage.

5. Try to know your neighbors and see if you can live with them

6. Find out why the last people moved 

7. Also ask to know if you can modify some part to your taste and also if you can rent out a part of it.

8. Don't forget to check the roof for leakage and the environment for flooding.

9. Are they mosquito nets and is the place filled with insects?

10. Check your toilet to make sure everything is intact. You will regret it if there is a problem with your toilet.
