Don't Laugh Last
~2.0 mins read
It may interest you to know that often times we are conditioned by several inspirational quotes. For the mere fact that they are inspirational quotes, people tend to absorb it hook, line and sinker.
There is a particular inspirational quote I’d like to draw your attention to, it is: “He who laugh last, last laugh bestâ€- the meaning of this (according to Cambridge online dictionary) can be summarized as: a situation in which someone who has control of a situation in the end is most successful, even if other people had seemed originally to have an advantage.
Many of us are quite familiar with this quote. Though the quote sounds good, but it has some flaws attached to it. While believing an inspirational quote, we don’t just believe/accept it with our brains only, we also believe it actively with our subconscious mind.
Consequently, the subconscious mind will produce the effect of the belief outwardly when we eventually find out that we are living our lives according to the dictates of the aforementioned quote.
You aren’t supposed to laugh last. In the event that you want to take care of the situation in the end, you might lose out on so many things. It is best to get fully involved from the onset. There are many scenarios to validate this but I will just give only one.
One very good scenario was when 5 bitcoin was given to registered members? As can be read on Wikipedia, the first faucet known was created in 2010 by Gavin Andresen and its rewards were 5 bitcoins per person per day, bitcoin price to the dollar then was $0.008. Bitcoin today as at the time of writing this post is $10,330.
So many people were aware of it then but refrained from joining owing to their personal reasons though. Perhaps some of them would have thought: let me just be patient and take control of the situation and laugh in the end.
They procrastinated and some never joined the train till this present day while some joined at a time when 5 bitcoin is no longer given. As a matter of fact, no faucet will give you 5 bitcoin again.
You will be seeing amounts like 0.00000010 per person per day. People that took advantage of that 5 bitcoins faucet then are millionaires now, because they keyed in to a once in a lifetime opportunity. In the real world, not all quotes play a significant role in our daily living.
So as you go about your daily activities, endeavor to work hard, work smart, play hard, stay safe and LAUGH FIRST!
Thanks for reading!
See you on the next one!

The Danger Of Entitlement Mentality
~2.2 mins read
Perhaps you must have come across the statement: “No one owes you anything”. This statement is nothing but a trigger that you and you are responsible for you.
When you grow up into an able-bodied adult, you are not supposed to continue to rub off your responsibilities on your dad, mom, siblings, uncles, aunties, colleagues, friends and God knows who.
The only period when your parents or family members owe you a thing is during childhood but when you get to late teenage age, you are supposed to remove the entitlement mentality from your cerebrum.
Truth is, when you allow that entitlement mentality to gain residence in your brain or mind, it somewhat activates laziness and forces you not to do anything to achieve your own financial possessions and you will be in constant search for an easy way out such as calling your family and friends to send you money for upkeep at every given opportunity.
This kind of lifestyle isn’t commendable in all ramifications. It makes people see you as a perpetual beggar, a lazy person, and a dimwit.
This is the case of one of my paternal aunties who wastes no time in asking for financial assistance anytime she sees her siblings, her nephews (me inclusive), her nieces, and whoever she knows.
She is now known as an unrepentant beggar and people hardly pick up her calls because she will definitely ask for financial assistance.
The aunty in question is able-bodied with no disability. She knows how to cook naturally and tops it up with a catering certificate.
Whenever she is advised to start up a restaurant to sell food and drinks, she always throws the suggestion under the mat and gives her annoying mantra: “I don’t have any capital to start a business” Same person my dad gave her money to start a business years ago, she squandered the money on clothes and accessories. Can you imagine that?
What am I saying here? The entitlement mentality is dangerous and can sink you deep into the rivers of disappointment.
The faster you erase the entitlement mentality from your head completely, the better it is for you and you will begin to employ creative ways to secure your financial future without waiting for anybody. It is important you do this.
Excuses are easier to make, while results are harder to get. That is why so many people are always giving excuses not to work hard and smart.
They prefer to wallow in self-pity and spend 24 hours 7 days blaming the government and everybody.
Only the strong-hearted work and keep working even after seeing results. Which one are you into? Excuses or Results? Let me know your answer in the comment section below.
