~2.8 mins read
No course is easy to study but there are some courses that are more difficult than the others.

Most of these hard courses are noticeably present in the science departments and poses a real challenge to those who want to study them as they require a great deal of hard work, determination and focus to get good grades from them.

All aspiring University students are to take serious notes of these courses and be diligent at it if they find themselves in any of the departments.

Below are the 13 most difficult courses in Nigerian universities.

1. Aeronautical Engineering
The study, design and manufacturing of flight-capable machines. It is considered one of the toughest courses to study in a Nigerian university. Very few offer it.

2. Pharmacy

8. Russian

Imagine it being taught in a Nigerian classroom? I’m sure you get the gist.

9. Petroleum and Gas Engineering
It is concerned with the activities related to the production of hydrocarbons, which can be either crude oil or natural gas.
In many Nigerian schools, this course is often studied by chronic bookworms.

10. Chemical Engineering
It uses the principles of chemistry, physics, mathematics, biology, and economics to efficiently use, produce, design, transport and transform energy and materials.
If you’re not an “efiko”, please don’t bother.

11. Geo-Physics
It is concerned with the physical processes and physical properties of the Earth and its surrounding space environment.
Only people with space dreams can try this in a Nigerian school.

12. Bio-Chemistry
This is the study of chemical processes within and relating to living organisms.
You will always see students of this department with big bags on campuses looking like refugees.

13. Architecture

While this course is very lucrative, be prepared to spend six years in school.

The End!!!
Now it’s your choice to choose among the above-listed courses that you want to study in the University.

Choose wisely!

ABSU Student Jumps From 3-Storey Building, Dies After Taking Drugs
~1.5 mins read

A 400-level optometry student of Abia State University, Uturu, has been confirmed dead after jumping down from a three-storey building.

He was reported to be on drugs when he jumped from his lodge called Favour Lodge located off the campus on Saturday evening.

Reports by students revealed that the deceased, identified as Francis Chibuike, in the video recorded after he took a hard drug known as Colorado, was unable to contain its effect.

According to some students, his friends reportedly locked him in the room and went in search of cassava flakes known as garri to restore him back to consciousness, but the deceased went through the balcony and jumped down from the building with blood gushing out from his head before they returned.

A student from the school, Paul Udo, in his Facebook post, said the deceased jumped from the stairs with head shattered beyond medical help.

Another student, Nnadi Thyword, while commenting on the incident, said: “Come to think of it; he is a medical student and ought not to be told the dangers of these drugs. It is doubtful to say that those who take these drugs don’t know the negative effects. This is simply an addiction.”

In the video made available to NM yesterday, the student recording the video, who appeared to own the apartment, where Francis had taken the substance, was heard saying: “I told you not to take it, but you did. I told you I don’t like it. ”

According to a news publication, the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the institution, Navy Commander ThankGod Evulobi (retired), confirmed the incident, describing it as one of the consequences of hard drugs.

According to him, the deceased, who is from Imo State, drugged himself and told his friends that he was going out only for him to jump out from the window.
