I Am A Millionaire But This Is Where I Have To Sleep
~5.1 mins read
Being a millionaire means you have more than enough money to buy whatsoever you want to buy in the world. From the exotic cars to the majestic mansions, designer clothes and all the flashy lifestyle a millionaire can a afford, it is almost impossible to imagine a millionaire living in a very untidy environment. This is the story of Kayode, a multi millionaire who has all the money in the world but sleeps on this bed. Here's the reason for that.
Hello everyone, my name is Kayode. I am a 28 year old man who has more than 100 million naira currently in my bank account. If you think with all this money I can buy whatsoever I want to buy in the world you would be right.
As a matter of fact, i have everything any man would possibly want. I have a fleet of cars, a million dollar house, flashy wristwatches, gold chains, all the latest gadgets, and so much more.
Here's just a few of the things I own

I have mad money and I am not a killer, armed robber, ritualist or anything.
The story of how I made my money is a very weird one, no doubt. Many people question the means but my conscience is clear because I know my hands are clean. What happened was that, when I was in the university, a friend of mine had financial problems. He couldn't afford to pay his school fees and was non the verge of being a drop out. I always had no problem paying my fees because my parents don't joke with my studies so around the time my friend, 'Ifalagba' was facing that problem, I had made a lot of money from the hustle we students normally do back in the day. Betting and other side hustle. I dashed my friend 100 thousand naira to pay for his fees because I thought it was the right thing to do.
After we graduated and we both looking for jobs, his father, 'Baba Aje' (father of fortune) as he's called invited me over to their house after he learnt of the great sacrifice I did for his son. Baba gave me a soap to bath with and told me to make sure no matter how much money I make, I should never buy and sleep overnight on another bed as long as I'm in my house. He warned that I should make sure I always sleep on the bed I used I my hostel back when I was in school.
Ever since I used the soap and hearkened to Baba's instructions my life just changed for good. Now I have too much money but I don't dare to sleep on any of the new beds i have in the other rooms.
This is slowly becoming a problem for me because I don't always invite my girlfriends over to house because I know if I'm to spend the night under my roof I'd have to sleep on this bed.

The Story Of David Breinhard : Who Knelt And Pray On Snow Till Snow Melt
~4.1 mins read
It has been said before and I will say it again: Christianity was not born out of men driving posh cars, wearing nice suits, flying luxury jets and so on.
Christianity came to life as a result of the sacrifice Jesus made both during his earthly life and through his crucifixion and resurrection.
And this was carried on by his disciples, some of whom lived like vagabonds until they were martyred.
David Breinhard is one of the greatest men of prayers I have ever heard about.
Breinhard was a missionary to native Americans. He saw the indigenes given to idolatry and knew he needed more than just preaching or ordinary praying to breakthrough the spiritual strongholds holding them. He needed to go deep in prayer before the throne of God. The Bible says the deep calls to the deep.
So David Breinhard would go out to the woods and pour his heart to God for the native Americans he lived among.
He couldn't pray around his home because he didn't want to be disturbed or disturb the neighbours who lived around.
He understood what the Bible meant that it's only the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous that can bring in a real harvest.
However, David Breinhard had serious health issues. He was struggling with tuberculosis and poverty was never far from him.
Also, he would sometimes get depressed and lonesome.
But the evangelist pressed on. It was said that once during winter, David Breinhard set out early in the morning to pray as he often did.
He knelt upon a pile of snow as he cried out to God for an outpouring of His Spirit both on himself and the natives.
He was completely lost in prayer and oblivious to his environment and time. David finished praying around evening and by the time he got up, he realized the snow around him had melted.
It was as if the heat emanating profusely from his body affected the pile of snow.
A Man of God once said God does not answer prayers but desperate prayers. How can our prayers move God to act when it seldom moves us?
David Breinhard went out to where the Native Americans were gathered. He couldn't understand their native tongue and the only person he saw that could interpret was drunk. But he had no choice so he began to preach, with the drunk interpreting. What happened next was almost impossible to believe.
Through the drunk that was speaking incoherently, the people began to fall and weep as the Spirit of God convicted them. It went on until almost the entire community came to Christ.
David kept on with his mission of winning the native Americans to Christ. He prayed fervently and when he preached the heavens fell on the people as they were converted in their numbers.
David Breinhard was still in his twenties and was engaged to the daughter of Jonathan Edward, Jerusha.
His tuberculosis worsened as he sometimes vomited blood. But that did not deter him. He kept on preaching and even interceding more.
He understood the words of James that life was like a vapour that is here one moment and be gone the next.
And as he prayed and preached he wrote about his experiences.
David Breinhard looked forward to sharing his life with Jerusha Edward but it wasn't to be.
He died in 1747 at the age of 29.
May we, as Christians be inspired by the life of David Breinhard, whose life burnt out fast like a candle in the wind.
David Breinhard understood that fervent prayer and constantly hungering after God are what is needed to overcome every obstacle,; physical or spiritual, limiting the people of God from overcoming the forces against us.
Jonathan Edwards went on to make copies of David Breinhard's life available. They were handed to new and backsliding Christians and it was almost as if a revival broke out.
Backsliding Christians asked God to forgive them as they retraced their steps. New converts decided to give their lives to the cause of Christ as they became evangelists; preaching in different parts of America.
David Breinhard's life was an inspiration then and is still and inspiration now. May we live for Christ in such a way that our lives shall stir up other Christians to live more to the glory of God.
