Nigeria has produced some really good goal scorers in the English Premier League. Even though none of them managed to win the golden boot award, Yakubu Aiyegbeni did come quite close. Some of them would surely have scored more if they had spent their entire career in the league.
With a total of 95 goals, Yakubu has scored more Premier League goals than any other Nigerian player. And since most of these players are either retired or playing in another league, his record might be safe for quite a long time.
Kelechi Iheanacho has scored 33 Premier League goals so far, and is the only one still playing in the Premier League. He needs to score 62 times to equal Yakubu's record. Do you see that happening?

Iheanacho played for Manchester City and currently plays for Leicester City. He has scored 33 Premier League goals so far.
7. Obafemi Martins:
Martins scored 28 Premier League goals while playing for Newcastle United and Birmingham City.
8. Victor Anichebe:
Anichebe scored 26 goals playing for West Brom, Everton and Sunderland.
9. Victor Moses:
Moses scored 20 Premier League goals, having played for Wigan, Liverpool, Chelsea and West Ham.
10. Odion Ighalo:
The last name on the list is Odion Ighalo with 16 Premier League goals. Even though he has played for Watford and Manchester United, all his 16 goals were scored at Watford.
