Recall that the 33-year-old informed the club that he wants to leave this summer.
The Argentine wants to activate a clause which will allow him to leave the Nou Camp as a free agent, but Barca is of the opinion that the timeline has passed for him to do so.
Ahead of a possible legal battle with the LaLiga giants, Messi’s representatives have advised him against doing anything that could give the club extra ammunition in the courtroom.
He will therefore, turn up on Monday, despite previous indications that he wouldn’t.

Manchester United are reportedly close to completing a deal to sign Aston Villa star Jack Grealish with the two clubs said to be locked in to negotiations.
Grealish Closing in on United Move
Grealish has long been linked with a move to Manchester United with The Red Devils even reported to have a bid rejected during the January transfer window but latest reports state United are closing in on their man.
With talks ongoing, Aston Villa are said to have accepted losing the star to Manchester United and as a result have asked United to include two players in the deal- Sergio Romero and Diogo Dalot.
Both Dalot and Romero have found chances limited at Old Trafford with Ole Gunnar Solksjaer preffering Wan Bissaka and De Gea in his starting squad. With England international Dean Henderson also signing a new long-term contract at the club, chances for Romero getting game time will more limited and hence, United may be open to include him in the deal.
Romero and Dalot Could be Included in Grealish Deal
Portugal international, Diogo Dalot has also long been reported to have no future at Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer with him among the players wanted out this summer and this makes a deal for Jack Grealish more closer to being completed.
