Check Out Chelsea's Performance In The Month Of October & Why Tuchel Deserves MOTM In October
Chelsea were absolutely amazing in the month of October under Thomas Tuchel. Chelsea are already setting the pace on the Premier league table after only just losing one game after ten matches in the English top-flight.
Chelsea started the month of October at home to Southampton in the premier league. The Blues won the match convincingly at the Bridge thanks to goals from Trevoh Chalobah, Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell to ensure Chelsea won 3:1.
Chelsea made a short trip to face Brentford in a London derby after the international break and a Ben Chilwell first half goal was enough to give Chelsea all three points on the road.
Chelsea then welcomed Swedish champions, Malmö FF to Stamford Bridge in the third game of the champions league group stage. Goals from Andreas Christensen, Kai Havertz and a brace from Jorginho was enough to give Chelsea a comfortable 4:0 win at home.
Up next, struggling Norwich City were away to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and the Blues totally humiliated Norwich City 7:0, hatrick from Mason Mount and goals by Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ben Chilwell and an own goal was enough to deliver all three points in Chelsea's title charge.
Chelsea welcomed Southampton again to Stamford Bridge in the carabao cup after previously beating the Saints in the premier league. Kai Havertz goal in the first half wasn't enough to give Chelsea the victory, so it was settled by penalties which Chelsea won.
Chelsea's last game in October was a trip to St James' Park to face Newcastle United. Once again, Chelsea were rampant and dominant, two goals from Reece James and a goal from the penalty spot from Jorginho ensured Chelsea got all three points on the road with a clean sheet.
Chelsea only conceded one goal in the premier league throughout October while winning all their matches convincingly. Thomas Tuchel deserves to win the manager of the month ahead of other coaches in the division.
