When handled with care, weapons are very important for the security of the country. The availability of arms makes it possible for a nation to defend both its borders and its people. When surplus is exported, the manufacture of arms can also earn a nation foreign exchange. Africa has several of its weapons-manufacturing nations. Some also generate a surplus in excess and export to established countries such as the US and China. African countries that produce their weapons are below. Not based on any order is the arrangement of countries below.

1. South Africa

South Africa has one of Africa's most sophisticated arms production firms. It is also known to have one of the world's most sophisticated arms industries away from the west. It is considered that the weapons industry is at the same level as Brazil and India. Manufacture of South Africa; light armored vehicles, anti-tank missiles, helicopters of attack, military tracks, armored personal carriers, vehicles of internal defense, hand gans and rifles. Among several other nations, South Africa imports some of its arms to the US, China, Sweden and Zambia.





2. Egypt



Egypt is considered Africa's most powerful nation, which means that it owns a lot of weapons. Egypt manufactures much of its arms locally. According to the Human Right Watch deputy director of the Middle East and North Africa division, Mr. Joe Stork, Egypt has been among the first countries in Africa to develop its own arms since the 1820s. 3. Ethiopia

4. Kenya

The first Kenyan company to produce arms, KOFC, was founded in 1997. It was managed and set up by the Ministry of Defense. It primarily manufactures small arms. Kenya is currently home to other arms production firms, such as Osprea Logistics (owned by South Africa), FN Herstal (owned by Belgium), among others.



5. Nigeria

By the early 1960s, Nigeria, Africa's biggest economy, had begun making some of its arms. Nigeria is making its variant of the AK47 rifle. The nation's domestically manufactured weapons do not completely certify the Nigerian army, so the Nigerian government invested around $1 billion annually on military machinery and training.

6. Namibia

Since the 1900s, Namibia has been producing some of its arms. Windhoeker MaschinenFabrik has produced and exported small numbers of wheeled light-armored vehicles since 1977, according to Policy Pap. Small arms and animations are also developed by Namibia.



7. Ghana

Hundreds of years back, Ghana began producing some of its own weapons. Shotguns, pistols and single barrel guns are mainly produced in Ghana.

8. Sudan



Sudan has a company for the manufacture of weapons called the Military Industry Corporation, which was founded in 1993. Sudan also has, outside Khartoum, at least three weapons factories. They produce a wide range of weapons, such as armored vehicles, battle tanks, and ammunition.

9. Tanzania

Tanzania traces from as early as the fourth century AD its arms manufacturing sector. People were specializing in making instruments and weapons in that region. According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, Tanzania's Mzinga Corporation is said to produce about seven million rounds of ammunition annually. Tanzania also has small ammunition factories, according to Gunpolicy.org's latest report.

10. Zimbabwe

According to gunpolicy.org, Zimbabwe has at least two firearms factories. They were created by the Zimbabwe Defence Industry in 1985.

11. Uganda 

Uganda traces from as early as the 1800s its weapons industry. Bunyoro's powerful kingdom was established by a powerful army whose weapons were manufactured locally. Uganda has a small arms ammunition company, according to a report from gunpolicy.org. There are at least three arms manufacturing factories in the country.

Speaking further, he urged them to stop complaining about poverty, making it known to them that most of them only use their phones to gossip, chat and for other things. He ended his tweet by urging his followers to use their smartphones to create wealth.
That is really a wonderful one from Reno Omokri. He has indeed issued a good and wonderful advise to Nigerians. People should learn how to use their phones to create wealth for themselves, instead of chatting and doing other irrelevant things.
