The Animal That Never Dies
~3.8 mins read
Animals living under natural conditions rarely approach their maximum possible age because of very high death rates due to infant mortality, diseases, predators, bad weather, habitat destruction, or competition for food and shelter.
Below is a list of animals that have a long lifespan in the world but believe it or not number never dies

9.Cat

Indoor cats live on average 10-15 years

8.Koi Fish

Usually lives for 25-35 years.

7.Macaws

Adult blue and gold macaws typically live between 30 and 35 years in the wild. When captive as pets or cared for at zoos, these birds can live upwards of 50 years.

6.Longfin Eel

Often lives to 60 years.

5.African Elephant

Lives for 60-70 years.

4.Bowhead whale

Based on the recovery of stone harpoon tips from harvested bowheads, it is evident that bowhead whales live well over 100 years.

3..Red Sea Urchin

A study has concluded that the red sea urchin, a small spiny invertebrate that lives in shallow coastal waters, is among the longest living animals on Earth - they can live to be 100 years old, and some may reach 200 years or more in good health with few signs of age.

2.Greenland shark

According to their research, the Greenland shark has a lifespan of at least 272 years and as much as 512, making it (as far as they know) the oldest living vertebrate.

1.Immortal jelllyfish

Scientists have discovered a jellyfish which can live forever. Turritopsis dohrnii is now officially known as the only immortal creature. The secret to eternal life, as it turns out, is not just living a really, really long time. It's all about maturity, or rather, the lack of it
Turritopsis dohrnii (and possibly some other jellyfish species too) has a neat party trick: when it faces some kind of environmental stress, like starvation or injury, itcan revert back to being a tiny blob of tissue, which then changes back into the sexually immature polyp phase of life.
