Let me teach you how I hear from God...

Simple... I search the scripture after I have asked Him a question or whenever I have a burden in my heart. 

Many years ago I had a challenge deducting money from my salary to give to my parents. I knew that it was mandatory to honour my parents, but what I was earning was nothing to write home about.

So on my way home from work one of those days, I had to ask God - right there in a public bus, "Lord, how do I honour my parents - seeing that my pay is really small?".

I picked up my bible immediately and began to read. Few minutes after, I stumbled on Proverbs 23:24. It says, "The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him".

The moment I saw that scripture, I knew it was God's answer to my question. My father had previously told me that he was disappointed in me, because I wasn't owning up to my responsibilities as a first child.

From that scripture, I knew that all I had to do was to keep walking in God's wisdom and things will change. Fast forward to a few years after, things truly changed.

The money I had in my account when my family visited my in-laws for introduction wouldn't have been sufficient to clear the list they gave us. At this point, I needed assurance that God will help me through the process, so I went to study.

I encountered the following scriptures and they ministered to me as though it was God's response to my concern. 

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. 4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

2 Kings 3:17 For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.

Isaiah 43:21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

Ezra 1:6 And all they that were about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, beside all that was willingly offered

As soon as those words settled in my heart, I told my family to let not their heart be troubled and that God had done it. Amazingly, it was assumed that the person who wedded on my wedding day had to be related with the king of the land. It was glorious.

Of course, I hear God's direct voice, but a large percentage of the encounters that has transformed my life came as I encountered His word from scriptures.

So, stop waiting for God to speak to you directly, pick up your Bible and study till you find a word that ministers to that need of yours. The bible says, "when you have found it, there shall be a reward, and your expectations shall not be cut off".

You can encounter a scripture that describes how your God ordained husband will appear when you both meet. You can encounter a scripture that describes the kind of person to employ, and so many other things. But you'd only have such encounters when you're searching for an answer to a question.

Trust me, it's easier to pick your Bible to search than to sit down and wait for a voice you're not sure when it will come. The amazing thing is, both the voice from His scripture and His direct voice are equally powerful.

So, enough of the delay that is almost seeming like stagnation. Take responsibility to study the scriptures and find a word that addresses your situation. 

Even this morning, I found a scripture that settled a concern I had yesterday. The bible is not a history book, it's a spiritual book that has eternal relevance. What he spoke to Jacob in the Bible can also minister to you personally. So don't read it as though you're reading what God did, but read it as though you're reading what God will do concerning you. 

Those scriptures I found didn't have my name on them, but they had my situation and solution in them. They were God's word for me. 

May God give us understanding.

THIS IS HOW THE WORLD IS TEACHING US TO TREAT OUR CHILDREN. BEWARE!!!

Our precious children. THE WORLD has an agenda for them! An EVIL agenda.

But it is not really the world per se that has an agenda for the children, it is the god of this world – Satan (2 Cor 4:4).

As the Bible prophesies, the god of this world is coming to formally take the physical reins of power in the world. This he will do through his Antichrist. But for this to happen, PREPARATION has to be made for the emergence of the Antichrist. (This is in the same way that believers are PREPARING for the return of Jesus Christ.)

Like Satan, the Antichrist is a MAN OF LAWLESSNESS (2 Thess 2:3). Thus, he needs the world to be in A CHAOTIC STATE OF LAWLESSNESS for his reign to flourish. As the Antichrist emerges amidst this chaos, he’ll orchestrate and give mankind a FAKE ‘peace and safety’ that will entice and deceive the world, as we read in Daniel 8:25 and 1 Thess 5:3.

This is the spiritual agenda that is unfolding RAPIDLY in the world today, as Satan DESPERATELY engineers a chaotic world. And this is where our children come in! To generate enough chaos in the world, Satan needs a DYSFUNCTIONAL human society. Today, the human society is RELATIVELY functional and stable – because God’s natural and moral laws underpin the society.

We all know that the family structure is the smallest unit of this society. Thus, the more the family structure disintegrates, the more the larger society becomes FRACTURED and DYSFUNCTIONAL. The result is that life will become more CHAOTIC in the world. (To be candid, this is why MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES are on a massive increase in the world today. But this is another story for another day.)

In the family unit, there are two levels of relationships. First, the relationship between husband and wife. And, second, the relationship between parents and children.

Today, both levels of relationships are under an UNPRECEDENTED, SILENT, and SUSTAINED attack. Social statistics attest to this trend. Divorce rates are presently at their WORST LEVELS in the history of mankind. For instance, in the US, almost half of ALL marriages will end in divorce or separation. And the trend is getting worse!

As a matter of fact, many people are no longer bothering with the rigid commitments of getting married. Rather, they simply co-habit and make babies. One of the ‘benefits’ of this arrangement is that it makes separation much easier if/when it occurs. Inevitably, children are the greatest and deepest victims of these divorces and separations. But this intense spiritual pressure on the marriage institution is not the focus of this article.

We are looking at the second relationship level – parents and children. To achieve Satan’s ultimate goal in man’s society, this relationship has to be WEAKENED too. For a few decades now, this operation has been going on SILENTLY, as THE WORLD influences parents on how to PERCEIVE and HANDLE their children. This comes at different stages of a child’s development.

(1) THE PRE-NATAL STAGE: Today, mankind is being CONDITIONED to see pre-born children as DISPOSABLE COMMODITIES!!! Thus, if parents feel that their yet-to-be-born child will be AN INCONVENIENCE, they can simply KILL the pre-born child! And the pre-born child is CRUELLY KILLED in the place the child ought to feel most loved and most secured – the mother’s womb!

This is how callous some parents (or parents-to-be) have become. And the trend is getting worse, as the practice is now given the chic name of ‘Women’s Right’. According to widely available statistics, among the black community in New York City, MORE THAN HALF of all pregnancies end up being terminated! Meaning a child conceived in that community is MORE likely to end up dead than born into the world! Generally speaking, the trend is growing worse all over the world – as termination of pregnancy becomes more widely available and LEGAL. That is the value the world is teaching us about pre-born children – they can be THROWAWAY things!

(2) THE BABYHOOD/TODDLER STAGE: if a baby is lucky to survive this first hurdle, and is born into the world, another MAJOR hurdle awaits. We have been taught by THE WORLD that we NEED money (MAMMON) to pay our bills, be happy, and have a sense of accomplishment and financial stability.

So, at this early stage of life, LOTS and LOTS of babies are thrown into CARE FACILITIES – daycare centres, pre-school centres, etc – so that BOTH Dad and Mum can go and serve the god of mammon! At this crucial stage of life, babies are denied the MUCH NEEDED natural bonding with parents, a process that NURTURES their humanity and humaneness. Just because Mum needs to work!

Again, in America, some babies are shoved off to care facilities as early as when they are just a few days/weeks old! (Yet, today, we wonder why a lot of our children seem to be NARCISSISTIC in outlook! That’s what WE did to them! Parents are simply reaping what we’ve sown into our children’s lives in their formative stage.)

(3) THE PRE-SCHOOL / EARLY SCHOOL STAGE: In a lot of Western countries (now spreading to other parts of the world), parents are INSTRUCTED not to include SMACKING in the toolkit of disciplining their children. In some cases, parents may be jailed for this, or they may have their children ‘confiscated’ by the government.

Yet, the CREATOR of children states VERY CLEARLY that smacking (done appropriately) is an integral part of raising a child in love. “Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him” (Prov 22:15). “He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes” (Prov 13:24). “Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell” (Prov 23:13-14). “The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame” (Prov 29:15). Very, very clear guidelines from the CREATOR. 

But, as parents are now forbidden to smack, in many cases, the FOOLISHNESS mentioned in Proverbs 22:15 is allowed to FESTER and MULTIPLY in the heart of a child! And this foolishness becomes a part of the baggage some of them have to carry for life! This is one of the reasons that respect for authority and for authority figures is waning among our children. It’s not difficult to guess where this is all heading, and why Satan is leading the world down this path!

(4) THE TEEN STAGE: After the ‘demolition’ of the first three stages, this is where THE WORLD crowns its efforts in the life of our children. As they grow up in their teen years, it is drummed into their ears that they are AUTONOMOUS CREATURES that can make their own decisions INDEPENDENTLY of their parents. 

In some Western societies, this is an INSTITUTIONALISED procedure, administered usually through the educational system. In some cases, children are encouraged/allowed to make some RADICAL, LIFE-CHANGING decisions ON THEIR OWN. For example, last week, a UK Appeals Court ruled that, in some cases, children that are UNDER 16 years of age, have the capacity to consent to some extreme medical procedures WITHOUT INVOLVING THEIR PARENTS - in this case, puberty blockers that usually result in sex change. Under 16s!

Furthermore, in some countries, under-16 children can terminate a pregnancy WITHOUT their parents’ knowledge or consent. The termination can simply be arranged between the school and the service providers. Over 100 12-year-old girls have enjoyed this 'privilege' in the UK alone!

What does all this mean? It means our children are being ACTIVELY TRAINED to simply ‘BE YOUR OWN PERSON’, ‘live the SELF-life that YOU want’, ‘It’s all about YOU – so, if you want, your parents can be side-lined,’ etc. (Recently, my friend’s 8-year-old child threatened to call the police for her mum – if she speaks about spanking her again.)

Generally speaking, this is the NEXT GENERATION that mankind is raising today! Whereas the worst of these situations are more common in Western countries, these are values that are spreading rapidly to other parts of the world. 

This orientation of raising children is led by the WORLD SYSTEM, and is JOYFULLY embraced by a large segment of society – INCLUDING many people that call themselves believers in Christ. Believers that God EXPRESSLY WARNED not to be conformed to the ways of THE WORLD (Romans 12:2, James 4:4, 1 John 2:15-17, etc).

In his end-time agenda, Satan is going somewhere! THE WORLD is his tool in executing his agenda, culminating in the imminent emergence of his Antichrist.

Child of God, as a parent, to what degree have you been co-operating with this satanic agenda for his Antichrist? Nurturing our children –according to the ways of God - is a CARDINAL RESPONSIBILITY that is imposed on ALL believers. An OBLIGATION to the coming Kingdom of God.

In this regard, here’s God’s testimony on Abraham: “Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation … For I know him, that HE WILL COMMAND HIS CHILDREN AND HIS HOUSEHOLD AFTER HIM, and they shall KEEP THE WAY OF THE LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him” (Genesis 18:18-20).

As we see in this passage, the agenda of the Kingdom of God progresses on earth when our HOMEFRONT is tight, built according to His pattern (see also 1 Tim 3:4-5). Unfortunately, today, many parents are nurturing their children FOR THE WORLD – and according to the norms of THE WORLD. Yet, they expect that, somehow, their children will be catapulted BY MAGIC into the Kingdom of God!

Brethren, a day of accountability is coming on HOW we raised our children for God in this perverse, rebellious generation. On that day, may we not be guilty of the blood of our children (Acts 20:26-27). May it not be said that we sacrificed our children, God’s greatest gift, on the altar of mammon and SELF-pursuit. Amen.

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”. (Galatians 6:7)
