Father Mbaka Is At It Again
~6.4 mins read
Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, has grown to become one of the most controversial men of God in the country, owing to his deep concerns with the politics of the country. We all know about the blighted disposition we have about politics in Nigeria. We have come to believe that politics is a dirty game, especially Third World politics, and that no religious leader should have anything to do with it.
To compound the issue, his open support for President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 election had pitched him against millions of Nigerians, especially when he prophesied that Buhari was the "chosen one" from God to lead Nigeria to a better future.
And in recent years, that prophecy of his has brought him under heavy criticism from members of the public. The critics of President Muhammadu Buhari often say that they doubt if he actually heard from God, or he fabricated the "prophecy" to garner support for Buhari. But whatever you say of him, he's a man whose words have come to carry so much weight in the social and political terrains of Nigeria. And now he is in the news again, and this time around, he had some really vital messages for President Buhari.
Speaking during his sermon at the 2020 All Saints Day Holy Mass at the Adoration ground, Father Mbaka asked President Buhari to apologize to Nigerians, especially the youths, on behalf of himself and those that were in power before him, for the frustrations and pains the leaders have brought upon Nigerians citizens. He said that a pure heart gives birth to a pure heart and an evil heart equally gives birth to an evil heart.
Speaking about the #EndSARS protest, he alleged that the security operatives in Enugu killed several young people in the wake of the protest and dumped their bodies in Onyeama Valleys. He added that several young people are being detained in prisons across the country, and that those young people being detained in prisons shouldn't be there, but rather it is our leaders that should be in those prisons.
He said that his message was not targeted at any government leader, neither was his message about #EndSARS or IPOB, but reiterated that what happened during the #EndSARS protest was a clamour for a better Nigeria, and that after what happened in those two weeks of struggle, Nigeria can never remain the same again. He also said that a few days ago, people discovered dead bodies of young people at Miliken Hill after New Market in Enugu, and that they were dead bodies of #EndSARS protesters who were shot and killed by security operatives during the protest. That is sad indeed, because if that is anything to go by, those were young people who were hungry to see a better Nigeria.
He further added that it is sad that the youths have been frustrated for long years now, without food, jobs, good healthcare system, no good education, no good roads, no power, and other basic amenities of life. They endured all these for all these years, but one day they complained and decided to come out and protest and ask for change, but the government instead of listening to their cries decided to kill them and dump their bodies in valleys and rivers. He said that with the atrocities the government committed during the #EndSARS protest, Nigeria can never remain the same again.
He said that President Buhari could have been the answer to Nigeria's problems, but it is sad that he has surrounded himself with people who cannot tell him the truth. Well, I know that a lot of people will find this particular statement funny, because he is the same person who said it a few years ago that President Buhari was the answer to Nigeria's woes, so I wonder why he is saying something different now.

Religious Bodies Join #ENDSARS Protest
~3.2 mins read
It seems as though everybody that calls himself a Nigerian, is tremendously concerned with the state of our nation.
It's already obvious to all who have eyes, that this protest has gone beyond the ending of the SARS unit. It has even gone beyond police brutality and extra judicial killings. This is now about good governance, and a better Nigeria for future generations.
The son of prominent pastor and general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Leke Adeboye, held an #endSARS service outside the government house of Lagos State, while his father Pastor Enoch Adeboye, held an #endSARS protest at Redemption Camp.
Pastor E. A Adeboye earlier said in a tweet; “Our daughters will not be able to prophesy and young men will not see visions if we don’t keep them alive.
“I support the youths in this peaceful protest as they “speak up" to # EndPoliceBrutality # EndSARS # ENDSWAT."
