WHAT IS A RELATIONSHIP....?

👉Many people do not know the meaning of relationship or read different meanings to that word.

👉A RELATIONSHIP is not about having a handsome boyfriend or having a beautiful girlfriend.

👉It’s not about looking for a perfect person because there isn’t any perfect person on earth.

👉It’s not about looking for a fair complexion or a rich person.

👉Having a lot of money doesn’t mean that one has too much pure love.

👉MONEY CAN’T BUY A TRUE LOVE.

👉A relationship is about finding someone who respects you

👉Who cares about you in anyway

he/she can afford

👉Who understands you

👉Who is proud of having you

👉Who loves you the way you are.

👉Who is faithful to you

👉Who knows how to comfort you

👉Who knows how to encourage

you to be your best

👉Who would accept the worst of you

👉Forgive you

👉And who will go through everything without giving up on you. 

👉Such people are very rare to find these days.

👉It takes God himself to bring you such person just like He did for Adam.

👉But your relationship with God will be a major determinant in finding such person.

👉Keep cultivating a close and personal relationship with Jesus and such person will be a gift from God to you.

👉And If you have got such person already just keep that person.

👉Handle him or her with care

👉Be honest & contented with that person and don't do anything to hurt or let down that special person.

👉Remember, Relationship is a full time commitment/sacrifice and you must be willing to pay.

LOVE STAGES AND REALITIES

Mr David (not real name) is one year into his marriage, he's feeling lonely in his marriage and not feeling loved.

Certainly, anybody in love will never wish for those feelings to ever reduce. It's usually used to be strong and intense at the beginning stage. Lovers will like to be around each other every now and then. They would desire a deeper level of physical intimacy. 

It is applicable also to newly wedded couple. In the early stages of marriage, physical and sexual feelings are very high. The question is, can this feeling be the same for a lifetime? The truth is situations and challenges can make it rise or fall which can introduces new behaviour and experience. Each couple have their perculier experiences.

There's a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens (Ecc 3:1 NIV)

Stages of Love:

1. Beginning Stage - where love and affection is at its climax. Every couple is encouraged to sustain this to the end.

2. Intermediate stage - where some couples are not fond of each other as before. This stage requires lots of commitment, determination and hard work to keep the relationship alive.

3. Falling Stage - a stage where some no longer have affection, attention is low and physical and sexual attraction would have waned. 

Note this: The love you have for your partner will undergo numerous challenges and changes over periods of time due to situations. Accepting this fact can help you keep your love life alive and intentionally adapt towards sustaining the love. 

If change is not expected and planned for, it would be difficult to accept or handle it when it comes. 

To love is to be committed irrespective of the stage or season because love never fails.

It should be noted that changes will take place in how I feel about my partner. 

*PRAYER:* 

Lord, grant me the grace to accept and handle those changes as they come.

I am committed to loving my partner regardless of the stages our relationship would get to.
