HOW TO CLEAR DARK INNER THIGHS
~1.0 mins read

For dark inner thighs, I wouldn't advise the use of chemical peel as with dark spots, dark knees & dark knuckles except you want discomfort.
DIY exfoliating scrub or a lactic acid serum are preferable options. But it suffices to say that your lactic serum must  combine hydration and exfoliation to work effectively.

*An example of a DIY exfoliating scrub would be mixing orange peel powder, a crushed handful of zobo leaves, turmeric powder and a pinch of kojic acid or rice powder in aloe gel over night, this is to soften the materials so it doesn't cause micro tears on your skin yet supremely hydrating then use to scrub that area gently, then rinse off after 10minutes. Apply vitamin c serum, then apply oil over it to trap the moisture. Ensure it seeps in before you dress up. If not just allow it bare if you aren't going out. Doing this often helps to gently fade the dark thighs without over doing it, It won't redden, go darker, nothing.

But having a hydrating lactic acid based serum will save you making a DIY scrub all the time.
Don't expect magic but keep at it and in a few weeks, you will see your colour blending and evening out beautifully and it won't go back to being dark.

I hope this is helpful to someone here

INGREDIENTS YOU SHOULD NEVER MIX IN SKINCARE
~2.2 mins read
Hello sweeties! I trust we have been taking good care of this earthy container (SKIN).

Take a seat as I detail what and what in skincare products that don't go together and for you formulators that mix everything into your formula and creams and wonder why your clients go white then red then burnt, this will also be beneficial.

So first off, no product is 100 organic, (I hope we got that?) Even water is a type of chemical, so if you have a fear of chemicals, calm down. Lol, not everything will give you cancer or burns or anything especially when done correctly and also not every product is meant to be applied together in a routine.

Now let's get right into it.

BENZOYL PEROXIDE AND ALPHA ARBUTIN - Benzoyl peroxide is an amazing active ingredient on its own used to kill acne causing bacteria and take off excess oil from the skin.
Meaning the ingredient called BP is used majorly in pimple products and what it does is kill pimple causing bacteria on the skin and suck out excess oil.
It is pretty intense and it is used in products in degrees, that is percentages.
While alpha arbutin (all my whitenicious formulators, where una dey? Lol, they know what I'm talking about) is a lightening skincare ingredient.

Now if you have products that has these two ingredients in them and you use together, the benzoyl peroxide immediately renders it inactive and also with any other active ingredient that you might use in products with it.
So stop doing that. You can use at separate times during the day and night and that's better but not together.

RETINOIDS AND BHA - Retinoids are derived from vitamin A, it's an amazing exfoliator (kind of) and anti-ageing ingredient which shouldn't be messed with, so you definitely shouldn't combine products that has that with BHA which is mostly salicylic acid used for people with acne and large pores.

You will most likely end up with irritation and "sun burn ", so when I see people add retinol with salicylic acid and all sorts of oils and pomade together, they whiten then trouble starts!

VITAMIN C AND AHAs - Both are amazing on their own but when u mix some vitamin c serum with an exfoliating serum, you render them less effective because both will be like, one of us has to be the captain of this ship or both of us won't and they both won't!

VITAMIN C AND RETINOIDS - Also both strong acids, they stand the chance of irritating the skin because both are quite potent on their own.

SALICYLIC ACID AND OIL BASED PRODUCTS - Salicylic acid is an acid that dissolves in oil and helps oily skin types to dissolve dirt, oil and clears it off and reduces pores, so pairing it with oil based products might render it less effective or cause irritation.
Keep the glow on
