HOW TO MAKE YOGURT (Part 3)
~1.5 mins read

Hello good people! We have examined the origin of yogurt and the benefits especially for children.

Today, let's learn the art of making yogurt.

Here below are the ingredients and items needed

🐄 500g Powdered Milk

🐄 Plain unsweetened /Greek yogurt (Habib yogurt for those in Nigeria, farm fresh, or any plain unsweetened yogurt that has live active culture in it)

🐄 Measuring cup and spoons

🐄 1 liter measuring jug

🐄  Weighing scale

🐄 Table cloth or clean blanket

🐄 2 Containers one with lid and one without

🐄  Coffee strainer/ Cheesecloth

🐄  Stirring stick or Stick blender

🐄 Sugar (optional)

I will like to point out at this juncture that you could make your own starter culture by yourself. But I will only share with you how to make yogurt using unsweetened yogurt

Step 1: Pour 1litre of boiled water in a clean bowl. Add your milk gradually, mix in till smooth.
Step 2: Pour in a clean pot, stir continuously, don't allow it burn or boil over.
Step 3: Once it's hot enough (test by dipping a clean finger), pour in a bowl that has cover. Leave the milk uncovered to cool.
Step 4: Add a bit of the milk in the culture separately. Ensure it's well mixed.
Step 5: Add in the mixed culture into the rest of the milk.
Step 6: Cover the mlik and keep in a warm place undisturbed for 6-8hours or overnight
Step 7: Once the hours are over, bring out your yogurt, strain out excess water left in it.
Step 8: Mix the curdled milk (yogurt) till smooth then refrigerate.

NOTE: Don't forget to keep some of the yogurt for the next production.

Step 9: If you choose, you could add sugar or honey to sweeten

Voila! Your home made yogurt is ready. Enjoy your delicious yogurt & make some money too.

GRANDPA, HOW DID YOU COPE?
~1.9 mins read
*I LOVE THIS POST, I THINK I SHOULD SHARE IT WITH YOU.*

This is so true !!* 🙂👌

A youngster asked his grandfather -
*Grandpa!* How did you people live before with:

*No technology*
*No aeroplanes*
*No internet*
*No computers*
*No dramas*
*No TVs*
*No aircons*
*No cars*
*No mobile phones?*

*Grandpa replied:*
"Just like how your *generation* live today with:

*No prayers*
*No compassion*
*No honor*
*No respect*
*No character*
*No shame*
*No modesty*

We, the people born between 1930 - 1970, or by extension to 1979.
are really the *blessed* ones...

Our life is a living proof:

👉 While playing and riding "rented" bicycles in our youth,
we never wore helmets.

👉 After school,
we played until dusk; we never watched TV.

👉 We played with real friends,
not internet friends.

👉 If we ever felt thirsty,
we drank public tap water not bottled water.

ðŸ‘‰ We never got ill sharing the same glass of juice with four friends.

👉 We never gained weight eating plates of rice and eba everyday.

👉 Nothing happened to our feet despite roaming barefoot. Very few shoes!

👉 We never used any vitamin supplements to keep ourselves healthy.

👉 We used to create our own toys and play with them.

ðŸ‘‰ Most parents were not rich. They gave love .. not worldly material things.

👉 We never had cellphones, DVDs, play station, XBox, video games, personal computers, internet, chat - but we had *real friends.*

ðŸ‘‰ We visited our friend's home uninvited and enjoyed their meals with them.

👉 We holidayed with relations & relatives lived close by, so family time was enjoyed.

👉 We may have been *priviledged* to appear in black and white photos, but you can find colourful memories in those photographs.

👉 We are a unique and most understanding generation, because we are the *last generation* who *respected & listened* to our own parents .... AND also the *first generation* who have to *listen* to their own children.

We are a *LIMITED* edition! Learn from us, treasure us and enjoy us while we are still much around..
