Everybody that is reading this article should be very careful when it comes to buying fairly used handset from people, especially people you don't trust and when the handset does not have receipt. There are very high chances that such handset could be stollen, or part of the proceeds of a very serious crime such as the case of Omozuwa Vera who was killed and her handset stollen and sold.

 

The Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Johnson Kokumo has paraded 6 people which are the suspected killers of Uwaila Vera Omozuwa, 22, a 100-Level Microbiology student of University of Benin, while she was reading in church. The six suspects paraded were, Nelson Ogbebor, Akato Valentine, Mrs. Tina Samuel, Mrs. Mary Ade, Nosa Osabohien and Collins Ulegbe

Recall that the said Uwaila was said to have gone to the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ikpoba Hill, Edo State to read in May this year when the suspects went into the church, raped and inflicted very serious injury on her that eventually led to her death days later in the hospital.

The news of the arrest of the suspects and how they were traced and arrested, was broadcast on the 26th of August, 2020 by the Edo State owned television station, Edo Broadcasting Service, EBS. During the broadcast, it was revealed that, after killing Uwaila, they took her handset and sold it to an unsuspecting individual who was probably unaware of where and how they got the handset.

Unknown to the buyer of the handset that the police were tracing the handset. The police was able to trace the handset to the person that bought the handset from the killers of Uwaila. It was the person that bought the handset that led the police to the person that sold the handset to him. 

When the person that sold the handset was caught, during interrogation by the police he confessed that he was part of those that took part in the murder of Uwaila.

One of the suspects when narrating to journalist how Uwaila was killed, said, as he was talking to her in the church, another member of the gang, Nelson, used plank to hit her by the neck and she fell, before he then used fire extinguisher to hit her.
