Many Killed As Bandits Attack Another Village In Zamfara

Jaya a cluster of villages located few kilometers east of Boko community.
Witnesses told Daily Trust that the armed men invaded the village on over 100 motorbikes.
“They also made away with cows and other animals. I saw three injured persons being ferried to a hospital in Boko community. They were shot on arms, legs and thighs. They were however referred to a bigger medical facilityâ€
Frew days ago, the armed men had attempted to attack one community there, but were ambushed by vigilantes who had got the wind of attack by the armed criminals. The armed bandits beat a retreat after several of them were killed.
“This apparently angered the bandits, they therefore reinforced and invaded the communities. Reports say they came on more than 100 motorcycles and when they laid siege, it was drizzling and people were taking shelter inside their houses.
“Several women and children had fled the communities and some of them arrived at Boko community this evening, despite the incessant rainfall,†a resident, Ali Aminu, told our correspondent.
The spokesman of the state police command, SP Muhammad Shehu, could not be reached for comment at the time of filing this report.

Buhari Without Certificate Attending Global Education Summit, It's A Shame - Dino Melaye

Senator Dino Melaye, who represented the senatorial district of Kogi West at the 8th National Assembly, questioned President Muhammadu Buhari's ability to represent Nigerians at a world education summit in the UK.
DAILY POST reported that Buhari left Abuja on Monday for London to enable him to attend the Global Education Summit on Global Partnership for Education (GPE) 2021-2025 funding in the UK.
Disclosing this, Buhari spokesman Femi Adesina said the president would stay in London for two weeks to allow him to undergo his scheduled medical examination in London.
Reacting, the former lawmaker criticized the president for representing the country, saying he had nothing to offer academically.
According to Dino, the president asked the vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo to represent the country at the world summit.
Dino made the remark in a video he tweeted on his official Twitter account.
He said: “It's very funny that President Muhammadu Buhari went to London to attend the World Education Summit.
“It's funny and it puts Nigeria in a very bad position because I wonder what President Buhari will be discussing at a world education summit.
“This is the man who just got a high school certificate, failed school and unfortunately this certificate is even missing. We haven't seen it, no copy.
“And you go to a world education summit where you have emeritus professors. Where you have intellectual mobile characters. And Buhari is going to sit down and discuss what?
“I even thought he would send someone like the vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, to go interact. Except that the president is going to be deaf and dumb at the top.
“It's a shame that Nigeria is not represented at this world summit because we have a president who has nothing to offer, who is intellectually stagnant, who has no academic capacity.
"The present Buhari should have told us he would be going to the medical and not the world summit on education."
