Buhari: Do Or Die Elections, Threat To Demo Stndard In Nigeria.

President Buhari has described election exercise as a threat to democracy when done with a "do or die" mentality.
In a message about Edo gubernatorial elections, he charged stake holders with the responsibilities to ensure a just exercise.
The elections has been billed to take place in the entire state tomorrow.
PMB therfore, reiterated about his position on the coming elections.
And in a statement through his Special Senior Assistant Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, titled, "Edo Elections."
Buhari charged Parties, Voters and Agencies to act responsibly in their duties.
The message also revealed Buhari saying, "I am passionately committed to free and fair elections but my own commitment alone is not enough if other actors on ground refuse to abide by the rules."
"I want to see democratic standards raise higher at every level but these cannot be achieved when politicians resort to 'do or die' exercise to gain power by all means or machinations."
He said, "the do-or-die mentality is a threat to politics, a threat to free and fair elections because actors are more focused on winning than carrying about a fair outcome that reflect the will of the people."
Buhari therfore, appealed to all political parties and candidates and officials to behave peacefully and respect the laws and order
He also advised security agency to be neutral and ensure to avoid any actions that is capable of compromising the integrity of the elections.
The President stressed about the reason that have made him to advocate for a free and fair elections exercise: "conduct of a free and fair elections is one of my concerns for our democracy and I want this commitment to be one of my legacies when I depart office," he said.

Boko Haram Kills Best Graduating Officer; He Was On Duty In Birnin Gwari

Boko Haram killed best graduating officer of Nigerian Airforce.
He was allegedly killed on Saturday while on duty in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna state.
The flying officer was said to be the best graduating officer among those at the NAF Special Forces Course held shortly in Bauchi.
Kano based lawyer, Bulawa Bukarti shared the sad news on his twitter handle.
"Flying Officer, Mohammed Auwal, one of the latest gallant men we sadly lost to terrorist. He's killed yesterday (5, Sep.) on duty at Birnin Gwari. He's the best graduating office at NAF Special Forces Course that held recently in Bauchi.
We have lost too many brave men and promising men to the insecurities raging in our Country. Government officials most face this head-on. They must channel the huge sums wasted on their extravagant lifestyle to this problems and ensure every kobo is spent transparently."
