Former Lagos State Commissioner for Finance, Tokunbo Abiru on Friday described the late Governor's Advisory Council (GAC) member, Chief Lanre Razak, as a loyal, dedicated and  compassionate party  man while he was alive. 

Abiru who  spoke through his brother, Bankole Abiru  and a former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Olusegun Olulade, who visited the deceased's family on his behalf at their country home in Epe added that Razak's death had depleted the tribe of loyal party men in Lagos APC.

He noted that the politician popularly referred to as KLM, served the state meritiously as a former Commissioner for Public Transportation and also as a key member of the Alls Progressives Congress (APC) GAC in Lagos State.

He also pointed out that the deceased was one of the few politicians, who used his wealth to benefit those who couldn't fend for themselves.

According to him, "the late Lanre Razak was a leader in all ramifications. His loyalty to the party can never be  quantified, he touched so many lives with his wealth and he was so passionate about putting smiles on the faces of those who don't have.

"He is a leader that will be missed by all, especially those of us from Lagos East Senatorial District, because his contributions to the District are immeasurable. His time as the state's  Commissioner for Public Transportation witnessed so many reform in the sector. 

"We are fond of saying some people die when they are most needed around but in the case of our father, his death really came at a time when we should be enjoying his wealth of experience.

"However, we should take solace in the fact that he has gone to rest in the bosom of his creator.

"I commiserate with the immediate and extended family, I commiserate with our National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, all our APC leaders in the state, all other leaders in Lagos East Senatorial District and all our members across the state.

Abiru also prayed to God to console the family left behind by the deceased and the departed soul Aljanah Fridaus.

Also in the delegation was member of Lagos state House of Assembly Hon Abiodun Tobun ( Epe 1) .

"My prayer is for God to grant the family the fortitude to bear this great loss and I pray that the Almighty Allah grant the departed soul Aljanah Fridaus," he prayed.
