It By Force To Contribute? Check Out What Happened In A Family Whatsapp Group, That Got Reactions
Castro_cahnOct 6, 2020 3:07 PM
Is it now compulsory to contribute for a birthday?. Normally, birthdays are days set aside for an individual to reflect on his or her life. Although this is the primary essence of birthdays, recently people are beginning to use birthdays as an avenue of making money. Here is a practical example for you to see and possibly learn.
Presently, a WhatsApp conversation is circulating on social media. This conversation happened in a WhatsApp group created mainly for a particular family. The family group chat was created by a family member on behalf of her daughter. The mother who created the WhatsApp group then added 3 other family members bringing the total membership of the group to 4.
Although this group is strictly for the family. The next action of the said woman who created the group surprised everyone. The said woman demanded N15,000 each from all family members for her daughter's birthday. Her action forced a particular member identified as 'Uncle Chibuzor' to leave the group chat. The said woman added him back on 3 different occasions. Uncle Chibuzor's next action is hilarious. Chibuzor then typed, "Stop adding me to the group, my screen bad so I can't read your messages".
Here is a screenshot of the conversations;
This WhatsApp conversation has caused a stir as many Nigerians are currently reacting to it. The majority are of the view that the said woman who demanded N15,000 for her daughter's birthday is mischievous. They however laughed off the Uncles action. They opined that he is a stingy Uncle.
There are a few others who did not see anything wrong with what the Uncle did. This category of persons maintained that it is not by force to contribute for a birthday.
What do you think?.
• Do you think that the Uncle is stingy?.
• Do you think that the Uncle is poor?.
• Do you think that the woman is mischievous?.
• Have you met anyone like her before?.
Here is a screenshot of the conversation again;
My opinion.
This is indeed hilarious. This shows that people are now mischievous. I feel that this is a misplacement of priority on her part. The Uncles action shows that he too is mischievous. Maybe he is broke and could not afford to give out N15,000, but saying that he cannot see the messages is uncalled for.
Nigerians are however reacting.
