~1.1 mins read
The wife of the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Mrs. Maryann Shaibu, has threatened to flog any woman she sees associating with a group, which is suspected to be an affiliate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo, Igbere TV reports.Mrs. Shaibu stated this in a video obtained by IGBERE TV during series of meeting with women at different parts of Edo North. In her words, which she uttered in pidgin English, Maryann requested that the faces of every woman in attendance at the meeting be captured, vowing to deal with any of them who is latter found identifying with the other group with a cane. The sense of urgency and bit of desperation in the tone of Maryann, who have been making frantic moves to boost the chances of the emergency tax collectors party, PDP in Edo North, through series of meeting with women at different parts of the region, is no doubt as a result of fact that the wife of the deputy governor is becoming disturbed that a lot of women are beginning to play to the gallery, where they present themselves for meetings summoned by her, but after that, switch to meetings.
