The protests to scrap the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS department of the Nigeria Police Force is gaining momentum all ok over the country and even to the world at large.
However, while Nigerians are peacefully protesting against insecurity and police brutality, the menace continues even during the course of the protests as police are shooting live ammunition at peaceful protesters all over the country.
Just some days ago, a boy named Jimoh was killed by a stray bullet while he was observing the protests from far. Also, some protests have lost their lives during protests especially in Lagos.
Today, not less than 8 people have been killed in Ogbomoso, Oyo State while partaking in protests. Out of the 8 reported includes a 10 year old kid and a female protester.
This is coming after a man was confirmed dead in Surulere, Lagos in the early hours of today after he was shot in the neck during protests. The first aiders on ground couldn't save his life as he gave up the ghost.

President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the calls and threats from some quarters telling certain ethnic and religious groups to vacate some locations in the country.

The President, in a statement on Sunday by his spokesperson, Mallam Garba Shehucondemned all forms of hate messages and eviction notices to ethnic and religious groups in the country.
He emphasized that all citizens have a constitutional right to live and work in any part of Nigeria they so desire and this right will be defended by his administration.
The statement noted: â€œPresident Buhari also condemned hate messages and eviction notices to ethnic and religious groups asking Nigerians to take pride in the fact that our diverse people have been living with one another in harmony for ages.”
“The right of all citizens to live and work in any part of the country is a constitutional right and will be defended by the government.”
It will be recalled that in a video circulating on social media, Grandson Adeyinka, a UK-based Nigerian, called on Igbo indigenes to leave south-west states.

Adeyinka issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the Igbo, warning that those who refuse to leave will be dealt with.
He said in the video: â€œThis is a warning to the Igbo people in Yorubaland. We are giving you a 48-hour ultimatum from today, Friday 23rd October, 2020 until Sunday, 25th of October, 2020 to leave Yorubaland,” he said.
“From Monday 26th of October, we will close the roads, stop all the vehicles across Yorubaland and every Igbo national will be dealt with accordingly. What happened at Ore in Ondo state in August 1967 are just highlights of what we are going to do from Monday, 26th October, 2020.”
In August 2019, Grandson was arrested in London for allegedly “stirring racial discrimination” against the Igbo and Fulani ethnic groups and also “encouraging terrorism”.
Naija News earlier reported that Professor Wole Soyinka had also called on Igbo indigenes to ignore threats by Adeyinka asking them to leave Yorubaland.
