According to the report, the recent dissolution of states’executive structures of the ruling party seemed like a hijack of the party structures and an indication that the battle for the 2023 elections would be stormy.

The report stated that the dissolved executive committees had their allegiance to the sacked APC national chairman,Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, and his dissolved National Working Committee (NWC).

To that extent, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has also been sidelined with Comrade Adams Oshiomhole being his key ally.

Even with the title ''national leader,'' Asiwaju Tinubu is not a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC), where high-wire politics is played and decisions are taken.

Therefore, to dissolve the former executive committees was to sweep off the remaining part of the old structure.This will enable the enthroning of a new order.

If anyone says that the All Progressive Congress (APC) is losing relevances in the atmospheric conditions of Nigerian politics, that person does not obviously know about politics and politics entails is not clear to that person. The numbers of the major stronghold stalwarts that have defected to the ruling party is quite significant to the extent that it does move other politicians to join the ruling party.

Everybody wants to stay with the winner and not the loser. Everyone will want to be part of the winning team ahead of the upcoming presidential election in the year twenty twenty three. Politicians have been waiting for opportunities that will allow them to move into the ruling party just like others have done. Although it is not easy to abandon a certain political party to join another but when duties call, one has to move.

Some politicians have defected to the ruling party but their defections do not have effect on the party. Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State defected into the All Progressive Congress (APC) and nothing has been happening to the party. The party is still standing well but if the ruling party gets these two politicians that we would be discussing in this article, the party is going to brought down and will not be able to rise again.

Just some months ago, some APC Governors visited former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in his apartment to discuss some issues that are not disclosed after the meeting. It would not be far from 2023 presidential election. Instead of tipping in Atiku Abubakar in the year twenty nineteen presidential election then, it was Jonathan that should be used for the post because he needs to complete what he has been doing. He needs to go for his second term tenure in order to he a fulfilled politician but the PDP denied him that.
