One Day, One Inspiration By Warren Buffett
~1.8 mins read
How about some daily inspiration? Over 3 days, you’ll receive 3 anecdotes concerning individuals who have made a lasting impression on the world.
Their stories will inspire you.
So, let’s start today with 3 pretty incredible anecdotes about Warren Buffet.
For a quick refresh, Warren Buffett is an American businessman and investor. Nicknamed "the oracle of Omaha", he is one of the richest men in the world.
His personal fortune is estimated at 86 billion dollars in 2020. Yes, we double-checked this figure.
But… you be at the helm of an impressive empire and still have simple, even quirky tastes. Case in point:
1. His house isn’t what you would imagine.
In the 1950s, he returned to Omaha, Nebraska. He rented a small house with his wife Susie.
It was only after being pressured by his wife that he ended up paying $31,500, a (very, very) small part of his estate, to become a homeowner.
But that's not the weirdest part...
He’s stated that he was never satisfied with this investment. In fact, he confided in an interview that he sometimes thought about the amount of money he could have generated by putting those $31,500 to work over several years.
And FYI, he still lives in the same house which compared to his entire estate is very modest.

2. When he dies, his children will get nothing (or almost nothing).
Warren Buffet has always been very clear on the issue of inheritance. If his children want to get rich, they have to do it on their own.
His fortune is 99% shares, and he decided to donate them entirely to NGOs upon his death.

3. His diet does not come highly recommended.
Warren Buffett is not a fan of a varied and balanced diet.
He likes to eat the same thing over and over again: meat and potatoes. Rumor has it that he avoids vegetables and fruit. That's right... we all have our pet peeves.

The Wise Albert Einstein
~1.3 mins read
Albert Einstein was without a doubt one of the most important and influential minds of the 20th century. However, his career, while brilliant, also conceals some truly astonishing anecdotes.
Get the skinny on this genius among geniuses.
1. Albert Einstein: an average student?
This is certainly one of the most surprising aspects of Albert Einstein's life.
Believe it or not, this 20th century genius was an average student.
How do we know this? Allegedly, he failed his entrance exam to the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich in 1895.
Now, that doesn't mean he was an impostor. He simply possessed a form of intelligence that had a hard time flourishing in the educational environment of the time.
Failing, failing, and failing again happen to even the greatest geniuses. Sometimes all it takes is a change of context and method to succeed in expressing your full potential.

2. An unexpected ladies’ man.
Everyone has their flaws, and Albert Einstein is no exception! His brilliant mind didn't stop him from making mistakes when it came to “controlling” his body.
He wasn’t convinced of the value of monogamy, which can be problematic when you’re married.
Once his divorce from his first wife, Mileva Marić, was finalized, he actually considered marrying his own cousin, Elsa Einstein.
Apparently, he was quite the heartbreaker!

3. His brain… his actual brain was stolen.
Albert Einstein wanted to be cremated after he died.
But he wasn’t.
His brain was stolen by Thomas Harvey, the doctor in charge of the autopsy. The organ would later tour the United States, going from analysis labs to dissection tables.
