Governor Umar Ganduje Blows Hot, Tells Muhammadu Buhari To Ban These Set Of Fulani
~1.5 mins read
Recall that over the past few weeks, the issue of
Fulani herdsmen and farmers crisis has been on
the increase. The crises had brought about the
eviction order issue by Governor Akeredolu of
Ondo State to all Fulani herdsmen who fail to
register in the state. The eviction order was
given in respect to the social vices such as
kidnapping, killing, etc being carried out by
suspected Fulani herdsmen on indigenes of the
communities wherein they reside.
According to NAIJA NEWS, the Executive
Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje
has reacted to the Fulani herdsmen/farmer
crisis. While speaking to journalists on Thursday,
Governor Umar Ganduje made it known that
there are three categories of Fulani. According
to Governor Umar Ganduje, the three categories
of Fulani are the Fulani, the herders, and the
foreign Fulani herders who commit crimes.
However, he advised that Muhammadu Buhari
ban foreign Fulani herdsmen from entering the
country. Governor Umar Ganduje added that not
all Fulani herdsmen are criminals. He explained
that some Fulani herdsmen are responsible
citizens of the country who go about their cattle
business legitimately.
“ It is often forgotten that there are foreigners
among those Fulani herders but nobody is
talking about them. The moment a foreign Fulani
herder sneaks into Nigeria and commit a crime,
he would be considered a Nigerian Fulani.
Therefore, it is high time to ban them from
entering Nigeria.”, Governor Umar Ganduje said.
What are your thoughts on what Kano State
Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has said?
Do you see the Fulanis to be of three
categories?
