*🌴Peace be upon you all.*
*If a child washes his*
*hands he can eat with kings.*

```AFRICAN PROVERB```
*Meaning: Age is no limitation when it comes to greatness. It is character that ushers a person into greatness. In our African tradition we eat with our hands. The five fingers stand for s.p.o.o.n for us. Knowing the hands can be full of germs which are difficult to see with the naked eyes, we wash thoroughly with soap and rinse with warm water before and after eating. To ensure children also have clean hands before eating, the parents or an elderly person would wash the child’s hands. Children do the dish washing for everyone after the meal is done. One test of maturity for a child is when he by himself without help or direction washes his hands clean on his own. That is agreed by everyone to be a commendable, as many children forget to wash their hands on seeing their food. As a reward for the child’s maturity he or she is invited to eat with the elderly while the rest focus on learning their table manners. Figuratively, a child act of washing his hands speaks of doing away with childishness or paying his dues. Sad to say, a lot of us want to be great but we have not learnt to wash our dirty minds of childishness. Children as we know are flippant and petty. Are you always whining, complaining, fighting with people, petty etc? You need to grow up! Be mature!*
Meaning Of African Proverbs: If You Can Walk, You Can Dance! If You Can Talk, You Can Sing!
*🌴Peace be upon you all.*
*If you can walk you can dance.*
*If you can talk , you can sing.*
```AFRICAN PROVERB```
*Meaning: Here is another wise saying of our elders in Africa! It is not only a proverbial saying but also motivational message. There are two ways we can explore this saying. The general way is to take it literally. Think about it for a moment. What does it take to dance? It takes movement of the body. Thus, if you can move your body, you certainly can dance. Notice, the proverb is not saying if you can walk you can dance like an expert. It simply says you can dance. In any case if you can do a simple dance, you can train to do a sophistated dance. Like another proverb put it, nothing is so difficult that diligence cannot master it. But certainly this proverb is not only about dancing or singing. Here is a deeper meaning: moving your body is fundamental to dancing just as opening your mouth is fundamental to singing. In effect the proverb is saying that if you know the basics of something you have the potential to do the complicated. If you know the basic principles of algebra, you have the potential to solve calculus problems. Be fired-up!*
