Indeed, it is quite painful and sad as to what sickness could do to people. This was the case of a dental nurse Omomosi Ukarusuo whose seven-months old daughter was born with cleft lip and cleft palate. Cleft palate is a common birth condition. It can occur alone or as part of a genetic condition or syndrome.
According to BBC News Pidgin who posted it on their verified Facebook page, the dental nurse says she is surprised to see such sickness on her daughter even when she had attended all her ante-natal classes and followed all the instructions from the doctor when she was pregnant. According to her, she didn't expect such to happen to her because she is a nurse that has seen cases like that before at the dental clinic.
Mrs. Omomosi Ukarusuo disclosed this to BBC News Pidgin in one of their documentaries, saying the cleft affects her daughter's lip and the roof of the mouth that is the palate. According to her, she was depressed because of what she will use to face the society as someone who is very active and popular on social media. She had planned to post her baby, but because of the sickness, she couldn't do those things again.
