GMHA (India), Winning Hand Empowerment (NG) & Rebuild Afrika Foundation (NG) Signed MOU On Mental Health To Support Women

In solving the Global Mental Health challenges, the HRH Queen Ameenata (Magajiya Chigaba) facilitated a Mental Health Partnership agreement for Africa with renowned Global Mental Health Association (India) with Incorporated Non Governmental Organizations from Nigeria, Winning Hand Empowerment and Rebuild Afrika Foundation.

The Memorandum of Understanding establishing the Empow'her Mental Health workshop across Nigeria is aimed at advocating and empowering women with the knowledge about Mental Health, it causes and how it affects life span and productivity.

What is Mental Health?
mental health is a state of well being in which an individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and contribute to his community.
It is also refers to cognitive, behavioural and emotional well being.
It is all about how people think, feel and behave. mental health is also known by some people as absence of a Mental disorder.
Common Mental Health Disorders:
1- Anxiety Disorder
2- Mood Disorder
3- Panic Disorder
4- Psychotic Disorder
5- Eating Disorder.

The CEO of GMHA (New Delhi, India) Mrs. Mansi Dholakia, gave extensive details reason her Organization is championing mental health globally and the emphasis on women.
She made it known during the virtual meeting hosted by the CEO Black Street Wall Arizona (BSWAZ), HRH Queen Ameenata, The Grand Patron of the Nigerian based community organization, Winning Hand Empowerment & Rebuild Afrika Foundation.

Ms Gayatri Shadwa S. an humanitarian and mental health specialist, elucidate the Mental Health Module and curriculum designed for the empowerment project. She stated the need for accurate feedback and data management during theĀ  Mental health Empowerment workshop.

Mr Shehu Adeshina Olufemi, President Winning Hand Empowerment (Incorporated) assured the workability of the module in Nigeria and ensure full commitment to the M.O.U in helping the rural and urban women across Nigeria. One in four women experience depression compared to one in 10 men.

Prince Adesegun Samuel Egunjobi, Convener of Rebuild Afrika Foundation and Director of the WHEMPRAF Project, applauded the research work of the GMHA (India) and the resources put into the production of the Mental Health module. As a young advocate for positive change and sustainable development goals, he explained how depression and poverty in Nigeria is Contributing to Mental health Challenges and continuous increase in suicide rate.

The Facilitator of the intercontinental partnership between the Asia and Africa Organizations, Her Royal Highness, Queen Ameenata pledge her support for both Organizations in effective implementation of the project to help the vulnerable women.
