"Whose Father is He"

A beggar came asking for food. I told him to come around to the back door and asked him to sit on the floor while I went in to bring the left over food.

I brought him food & said, let's pray. Now repeat after me, "Our FATHER in Heaven". He said, "Your Father in Heaven".

I said."No, say OUR FATHER in Heaven". He again said, "Your Father in Heaven"!!!

This extremely Irritated me! I asked why do you say 'Your' father when I say 'Our' FATHER?'

He said, "Sir, it's like this. If I say Our FATHER, then we both become brothers.

If we are brothers, you would invite me in through the front door and not the back; you would ask me to sit at your dining table not on the floor; you'd also not give me stale food! Sir, somehow it's not possible that we are sons of the same father"!

He may be your Father, but he can't be OUR father!

It took a beggar to teach me the truth

GOD becomes our FATHER when we treat one another as brothers and sisters.

*1. Be Discipline.*

*2. Be Sober.*

*3. Be Humble.*

*4. Be Timely.*

*5. Be Faithful to your spouse.*

*6. Be Positive.*

*7. Be Ready.*

*8. Be Sensitive.*

*9. Be Anointed.*

WHEN TO BE SILENT*

1.  *Be silent* - in the heat       

     of anger.

2.  *Be silent* - when you   

     don't have all the  

     facts.

3.  *Be silent* - when you

     haven't verified the 

     story.

4.   *Be silent* - if your 

      words will offend a 

      weaker person.

5.  *Be silent* - when it is 

      time to listen.

6.  *Be silent* - when you 

     are tempted to make 

     light of holy things.

7.  *Be silent* - when you 

      are tempted to joke 

      about  sin.

8.  *Be silent* - if you would 

      be ashamed of your 

      words  later.

9.  *Be silent* - if your 

      words would convey 

       the wrong 

       impression.

10. *Be silent* - if the issue 

       is none of your 

       business.

11. *Be silent* - when you 

       are tempted to tell an  

       outright lie.

12. *Be silent* - if your 

       words will damage 

       someone  else's 

       reputation.

13. *Be silent* - if your 

       words will damage a 

       friendship.

14. *Be silent* - when you 

       are feeling critical.

15. *Be silent* - if you can't  

      say it without  

      screaming.

16. *Be silent* - if your 

       words will be a poor 

       reflection of your 

       friends and family.

       have to eat your 

       words later.

       already said it more 

       than one time.

       are tempted to flatter 

       a wicked person.

       are supposed to be
