Biochemistry is the study of life and life processes while nutrinents is the total of the processes by which living things receives materials from it's environment and uses them to promote it's activities.

These nutrient may be inform of protein,fats,  carbohydrates,  minerals, vitamins and water.these nutrinents are present in the diet. Balance diet is the food taken to supply essential nutrinents and energy.

SOME PROBLEMS IN MODERN NUTRITION
Numerous toxicants are present in both natural and artificial foods . Good number of these toxicants are more toxic and are of little or no nutritional value.

1) INCIDENTIAL ADDITIVES
   A manufacturer who added anino acids, vitamin A in butter or margarine or vitamin D in milk to upgrade his product. But it is dangerous to add vitamin A which interferes with the metabolism of calcium.

(2) COLOURING AGENTS
   Some producers do add synthetic dyes (eg. Ponceaus) to make the products attractive carcinogenic i.e can cause cancer.

(3) SWEETENING AGENTS AND FLAVOURING AGENTS
   cyclamate and saccharin are added to soft drinks or ice cream to make these products to tested more sweet. Even chewing gum which may contain synthetic. FLAVOURING agent like benzaldehyde. These FLAVOURING and sweetening agents may be toxic
