Check out some of your favourite actors and actresses at one point in their careers explored their musical talents.
Take a look at 5 Nollywood stars that became musicians;
1. Genevieve Nnaji.
Nigeria's screen goddess, Genevieve Nnaji. Yes, same Genevieve dabbled into music.
This was back in 2004 when there was a ban on some Nollywood actors and actresses for allegedly over charging for roles.
Genevieve released her single 'No more'. A feminist hit single that campaigned against domestic violence.
Her band was an all female band, and this added personality to the feminist hit song 'No more'.
Genevieve relocated to Ghana and was even signed to a Label there during this period.
2. Omotola Jalede Ekehinde.
Omotola was part of the actresses who got banned by Nollywood marketers in 2004, and
music came to the rescue.
Omotola went on to release songs like 'Feel alright' and 'Naija Lowa'. Omotola released two albums in her music career.
3.Patience Ozokwo.
Patience Ozokwo is popularly known as Mama Gee is a legend in Nollywood. Known mostly as the wicked mother in-law.
Patience Ozokwo also delved into music. Releasing songs likeĀ
'Iyo Ngwo Ngwo'. Tonto Dikeh was also her video vixen back then.
4. Jim Iyke
Yes, Nollywood bad boy, Jim Iyke also dived into music. He had songs like 'Who am i' ft 2face idibia.
His music career didn't really kick of and he went back to acting.
5. Nkem Owoh.
Popularly known as osoufia in the hit movie 'Osoufia in London'. Nkem Owoh dived into singing. He released his hit song 'i go chop your dollar' in 2007.
