The leaf can be used in different ways. You can use it to make soup or just simply boil it. It can also be chewed out treat bad breath and oral infections.

Moi-moi is a recipe prepared from grounded beans. It is prepared by adding condiments and oil in grounded beans, then have in wrapped in a substance followed by putting in a boiling water so that it gets hardened hence ready for consumption after several minutes.
This recipe is quite a delicious one but we should not embrace it with the quick fix method else our health shall pay the price.
The recipe is meant to be wrapped during preparation using leaves. These leaves pose no health risk and instead tend to grace the food itself with beautiful natural aroma and other subtle nutritional benefits.
It is quite ironical that instead of embracing this concept, we adopt a quick fix method of using nylons. This is among the feeding choices we suffer from.
Nylon made from a hydrocarbon called polyethylene. This compound is known for its ability to produce carcinogenic substances when exposed to heat.
Now when we wrap our food with this substance and expose it to heat through boiling, these substances are capable of forming and when they do, they shall lodge in the food we prepare them with. From there, they shall find their way into our body.
The effects of these substances may not be immediate but when they are allowed to accumulate, this is usually the when a metastasis might get in.
It is important to understand that we should embrace the concept of leaves at all cost. If in an environment when they can hardly be seen around then we reduce the rate at which we prepare such foods we need nylon for. Also we should endeavor to consume more fruits as they help in detoxification and anti oxidation.
