Carrot Benefits for skin

Carrots contain vitamin C and beta-carotene. While vitamin C prevents free radical activity that is associated with ageing and wrinkles, beta-carotene is said to prevent skin inflammation. According to the book 'Healing Foods' by DK Publishing House, "in addition to beta-carotene, lutein, and lycopene, carrots contain silicon, which promotes healthy skin and nails."

Tomato benefits for skin

Tomatoes are also a treasure of vitamin C. According to beauty expert Suparna Trikha, tomatoes also have lycopene, which is an antioxidant that helps fight free radicals in the body. Their astringent properties help cut down excess sebum production on skin which leads to reduced outbreak of blackheads and whiteheads. She further adds that they also have pore-shrinking properties and help tighten the skin, and reduce chances of acne and pimples. Rubbing tomato juice on tanned areas may also help you get a detanned and nourished skin.

How To Make Groundnut Oil At Home
~5.5 mins read
Peanut or Groundnut oil, also known as groundnut oil or arachis oil, is a vegetable oil derived from peanuts. The oil has a strong peanut flavor and aroma. It is often used in American, Chinese, South Asian and Southeast Asian cuisine, both for general cooking, and in the case of roasted oil, for added flavor.
Peanut or groundnut oil is high in monounsaturated "good" fat and low in saturated "bad" fat, which is believed to help prevent heart disease and lower cholesterol. Most studies in animals suggest that peanut oil might help to reduce fatty build up in blood vessels. However, not all studies agree.
Groundnut oil is one of the essential oil for cooking of food and frying of different eatable things like our meat, potatoes Akara (Bean Cake) and fried yam.
Today i am going to show you how you can easily prepare your own groundnut oil from the comfort of your home using some items you easily find around the kitchen or around the house.
Before we begin, there are some items that we will need and i will list them below so be sure you have them before you commence.
1 Raw fried peeled groundnut
2 Blender
3 Gas cooker or Oven
4 Big frying pan
5 Big frying spoon
6 Glass plate
7 Glass jar with cover
8 flat stainless silver pan
How to prepare
Measure like three cup of groundnut either fried or none fried but for the sake of this lesson, we are going to make use of the non fried so you will understand the basic.
Pour your groundnut into the flat pan and then place in the oven and then leave for like 5 minutes depending on the temperature on the oven so always check it but if you don't have an oven then get a gas cooker and a frying pan, pour small sand inside, wait for the sand to get hot a little before pouring your groundnut.
When you finally pour your groundnut, use your frying spoon and begin to stir it until it is properly fried and you can peel of the back easily.
Now drop from the gas and quench your fire, Now leave it to cool down for some minute then peel of the back and separate the groundnut from the peel.
Now get your blender and pour the groundnut inside and turn on your blender and start blending while it is covered properly.
Blend for some minutes and then stop to see if it is smooth and has turned into paste otherwise continue blending until it turn into paste.
Now when you have confirmed that it is properly be blended, get your glass jar and pour the groundnut paste into it and then go ahead and store in a nice place or in a fridge for 24 hours.
After twenty four hours, you will see so much oil have settled on top of the jar, gently open the jar and carefully pour the oil into your glass plate.
Now close it and return it back to it initial position, the more you store it, the more oil that will settle on top of the jar.
You can now use the one you have collected to cook your food or fry anything that you want to fry.
Hope this Home made groundnut oil is comprehensive enough?
