Total absence of law and order experienced today in Awka. Wild youths setting up bonfires occupied parts of the Osha/Enugu Expressway.

They also blocked some inner routes in the Unizik Temp Site and Abakaliki Road areas.

Motorists were stopped and money extorted from them. I was stopped thrice and parted with money twice. In one instance I braved driving through the middle of two fires at Unizik Junction. It was very close and scary. The police were no where to be seen and buoyed by this, the miscreants acted with impunity. It is feared that they could up their evil acts in the night. People are therefore advised to stay away from the hot spots.

For those urging the protesters to remain on the streets, I hope you're enjoying yourselves now. Those miscreants are not extorting money from Buhari but from YOU. Just pray something touches their hearts to go home, else, they may decide to start looting shops and breaking into homes. If and when this happens, don't bother to invite the police because they will not be there, having become prime targets, as the Ogidi incident showed.

Those saying Buhari must speak, he's spoken. Hope you're now satisfied? 

Today Obiano announced a twenty four hour curfew in the state meaning there will be no movement, no markets, and no transport. This announcement was sudden, meaning that many did not stock pile food items.

Next time when elders talk, let the children listen. Even if war breaks out, it is you, the kids, that will be conscripted; not the elders.

There's need for us to address issues without recourse to sentiments. What is happening today are no more protests but arson, looting, brutality and robbery.

The guns being taken from police stations are same guns with which you will be robbed and kidnapped tomorrow.
