Though COVID-19 has hit the world unexpectedly and really hard, man cannot do without technological improvement. From 2G and now to 5G, the world will experience a new form of speed for wireless networks.

As we all know, 5G (Fifth Generation wireless) is the latest of all cellular technology and it is designed to increase the speed and connectivity of wireless networks.

Although, the introduction of 5G in the world is not really accepted as there are conspiracy theories about it bringing the Corona virus to the world but China has used it to make the life of its citizens easier.

Using this latest technology, China has amazed the world with its 5G-covered roads which is to aid autonomous or self-driving vehicles.

The construction which started in August 2019 has been completed in the Baohe district of Hefei city in east China’s Anhui province today, September 3. The road is 4.4km long and this development will soon be extended to other cities in the country.

The road is said to have road conditions monitoring device to improve the safety of driving conditions.

A local Chinese media has reported that more than a dozen cities in China which includes Shanghai and Beijing have approved the road test for autonomous vehicles.
