Bishop Kukah Is Not A Sacrificial Lamb - President Of The Pentecostal Fellowship (PFN)
~1.0 mins read
The President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has called on critics of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Bishop Matthew Kukah, to step down before the election.

In a statement to reporters on Wednesday, in Benin, PFN leader Felix Omobude said Bishop Kukah's comments on the situation in Nigeria and the Buhari administration were "to tell the truth to those in power."

Bishop Kukah in his sermon on Christmas Day 2020 criticized the Buhari government for its divisions between the North and South and for the insecurity that has led some to criticize it.
But the PFN through Omobudu said "it should be commended for expressing the views of Nigerians instead of just silencing some of the perpetrators."
Omobude called for Kukah to be seen as "a lover of his homeland, and not as a sacrificial sheep."
he went on to say that Kukah "was not a hater of the government, he was a lover of truth."
The PFN statement comes as the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) called on Kukah to resign as secretary of a meeting convened for the Nigerian Peace Committee.
The group, through its leader Akintola, has accused Kuka of being disloyal to Muslims.
