Please if you are in Akwa Ibom state ernsetly you have to avoid the state capital as the state government has declared a curfew from 9pm of 22 October till 12pm of the next day Friday being 23 of 12 pm This curfew will continue till Monday 26 of October by 12 pm. This was declared by evening of Thursday, following a protest which other neighboring States badged into the state which gave room to lost of lives and properties. At the late hours of 6 pm till 12 am there had been so much damages and theft committed as unsuspected arm robbers invaded many popular shops in the metropolis and carted away with so much items for sale. Some of the shops were Dechoice shopping mall, the eateries department was on fire, icon mobile, a popular mobile phones and laptops shop by uniuyo round about by ikot ekpene road was damage by hammer and phones, systems and laptops were packed by the hoodlums. Many electronic shops were not left out as so many appliances were stolen such as home theatre, woofers and LCD and LED televisions were varied away. Some petty traders had to close their shops earlier than usual. All areas of the state which are joining local government areas such as ITU, uruan, ibesikpo asutan and ibino ibom suffered so much abuse and damages. Serious gun fire was on the air. Today being Friday 23 October 2020 record a significant quitnes in the city as shops, markets, business places, factories and some hotels and tourist centers are shut down.
