Eisas Gambian Husband Confessed To Beating Her With A Belt When She Was Pregnant
~1.9 mins read

Eisa’s Gambian husband confessed to beating her with a belt when she was pregnant. But she wrote to us this morning that she wants to publicly apologize to him for bring their problems on What’s On- Gambia.

Here’s her apology to her husband:

I wish to write this letter apologizing to my husband and the entire family of my husband.

At first I took the wrong step of putting up this story on What’ On- Gambia regarding my marital status. I have realized it was not a good option.

My husband’s respond was very accurate and sincere. I want to tell the world I love him and he is the dad of my son and not ready to leave him.

Dear husband, I personally apologize for putting this story on social media but will assure you that I love you and still your wife.

When I visited The Gambia, you and your family showed me the highest love and respect which I don’t want to throw in the trash bin.

You are a loving husband. I love you and am saying sorry for anything that I have done to hurt you. I do promised we will open a new page in our marriage life. You are my world, my destiny and the daddy of my son.
********
Good luck to them! We hope the husband will not beat her again.

The Ministry Of Tourism And Gambia Tourism Board Are Giving Out Lands For Hotels When We Enough Hotels
~0.7 mins read

The Ministry of Tourism and Gambia Tourism Board are allocating

our ecological sensitive areas for hotel development without due consideration to the biodiversity found in those areas. Don’t we have enough hotels in The Gambia already?

The rice fields swamps behind Palma Rima stretching towards Kotu Creek are important habitats for our bird life. Destroying such areas will have significant impacts on our biodiversity as well as the tourism industry— as most of the tourists that visit The Gambia are ecotourists( visitors who are interested in our beautiful wildlife, culture and the people). If we continue to destroy the habitats for the wildlife then there will no tourist to visit our country.

I hope environmental groups— particularly West African Bird Study Association(WABSA), Gambia Birdwatching Association, Wildlife Conservation Trust, Makusutu Wildlife Trust will collaborate with DPWM and NEA to protect these habitats for our wildlife.( Video Credit- Kerr Fatou). Great interview there by Mr Tamba Jefang— one of the professional ornithologist
